We have three cruises booked: One in May (2022), Dec (2022) and Feb (2023). Looking forward to two Oasis class ships and then the Radiance. We are a family of 4 to these should be amazing!! We are also looking to book in December (2023) on the Freedom or Independence to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary when we got married during a cruise on the Freedom (2008).
This was a really useful video , helped to show first time cruisers , all the little extras that you really need to know ,about , especially the gratuities and where to eat for free . Great video as always x
I'm booked for Allure on the transatlantic trip for November next year. It seemed like ages away when I made the booking but three months have passed already! It'll be here before I know it. Really looking forward to seeing it after its facelift.

Cruise with Ben & David Hello, I just wanted to know what agency I can contact to book a royal carribean cruise I would prefer paying in the store rather than online (uk)
Another great video, I'm hooked on Royal Carribean too. Although I do like the look of the newer NCL ships, like the way they look out. Might try them next.
Thank you so much for giving us all the tips and NOT having music playing while you are talking. I actually unsubscribed awhile ago because I just couldn't hear you over the music. I have now re-subscribed and am looking forward to your videos.
I had my first cruise ever and it was on the Royal Princess to Alaska, and you are correct I am now dreaming of my next cruise before the end of the year, this time to the Mexican Riviera. Gr8 Video. 👍🏼
Ben & David regarding Cruiseplanner purchases. One must not be in Australia, Canada or the US of A to be able to cancel and buy the item again at a lower price. I am in Europe and I can cancel and purchase it again at the lower price. Everybody can do that I have been told.
This is correct, I am in Norway and if I see a better price for the cabin I have booked I just call the national RCCL-office and get the new lower price. New invoice in my email within minutes.
@@Cruisewith , in Canada you can cancel anytime before final payment is due so they will honour the lower price for you. If you purchase a Carnival cruise they will even give you an onboard credit even after the final payment date if you book with an early saver rate.
No gratuities added on for RCCL cruises booked in Australia leaving from Australia. We also booked a guaranteed stateroom in the bowels of the ship and then spent an extra $100 AUD to later royal up to a spacious ocean view on deck 8.
After watching this my main thought is that if you book with a good travel agent, none of this is unknown territory. When you book a cruise yourself, you have to do your homework. A travel agent doesn't cost anything, but will save you money in the long run!
In terms of re pricing in the UK, my travel agent got us some money back when we sailed in the carribean on allure of the seas. It might be worth going through an agent as it dosent cost you anything extra, and might even save you money
@@Cruisewith It is a policy active for bookings done in the US of A with registered address in the US of A. My USA travel agent told me (being in Europe) that to be repriced it means a cancel first booking and lossing the USD 100 administration fee.
I am a travel agent with Expedia CruiseShipCenters and I can reprice all I want for clients up until the final payment. That doesn’t mean I always do though. Depending on what sale the booking was done with, the clients might get a cheaper price but it would mean losing amenities. Most clients decide to not change anything if that is the case.
Just want to thank you guys for these great and informative videos, after watching a lot of them we have just booked our first cruise with royal Caribbean on voyager of the seas next year 4th December from Sydney. Cant wait but i am a little scared tho as i have celiacs disease and have had a far few holidays wrecked with the whole food issues and getting sick. any way fingers crossed hope the wife and son like it. Thanks again and ill keep watching.
Jeremy Slater Call Royal Caribbean and tell them you need to have gluten free put on your record; and if you or cruising partner have other dietary restrictions, let them know that, also. You may even find that information on RC’s website. Hope you enjoy your cruise.
Royal Caribbean wouldn’t let me reprice my cruise and I’m in the USA bc it was past a certain amount of days. I think you have up to 30 days to reprice and after that you cannot
Great video! My first 3 cruises were on Royal Caribbean. I loved them! My next cruise will be a group cruise sailing on Celebrity Equinox. We're looking forward to checking it out.
@@Cruisewith oh nice! Well im liking the vids ive been going through so far.. An Royal Carribean cruiser here too Only just stumbled across this channel today.. Only knew of the other chan prior
question in regards to gratuities.....what happens if you have a really awful experience with something on your cruise, like if the service on something was just awful....can you get your gratuity taken off or given back? is there even an option for that? i'm all for tipping and it's vitally important, but not when it comes to bad service.
Some good tips here. I didnt realise that bookings made via Australian sites or agents include gratuities in the RCC price. Would this be the same for drinks and dining packages or should we then expect to pay tips on top?
Hey Amber, I believe if you are booking a drinks package and you booked your cruse in Australia the price already includes gratuities. However if you buy individual drinks onboard they will add gratuity.
Hi Ben & David, love the video! I'm going on the transatlantic on Independence of the seas on 26th October but there are no activities showing on my app at the moment, only the escape room is showing as an activity. Do you know how far in advance the activities show on the app? Thanks!
I wish I knew just how much was included in the cost! Our first cruise was with Royal and when doing all the bookings we had no idea that there were food options outside of MDR and buffet that were free. Our 7-night stay on Freedom meant we passed by Sorrentos and cafe promenade sadly for a few days before just deciding we were going to pay...AND THEN NOT HAVING TO PAY! Plus the random buffets that would get set up poolside. Also, we stressed to book an excursion at Labadee (and all of the other ports) without knowing that it was a private island and that a lot of was easy to enjoy without an extra cost (although I have 0 regrets about taking the zipline).
Oh no. Dont worry, our first cruise wee spent nearly $2000 on excursions on each port as we didn't know you could do your own thing. There is always next time :-)
Hello please help.. do i have to checklist the "PRE PAID GRATUITIES" on the final my booking on Royal caribbean? I mean it have to or just a option? Because i am afraid it will on my bill on the last day of cruise. Please help to answer
@@Cruisewith Thank you so much! That's one thing I've been hesitant about on a cruise. I watched hour videos it definitely looks really nice on the ships. Thank you!

For the gratuities you need to check where you purchase from and cruise from. In Australia it is included in the price.

Does RCL have suites and features like NCL. Haven,, or Celebrity’s Retreat?
They have a private lounge, sunbathing space and restaurant on the bigger ships. No private pools.
