    whats up guys!! on this video I will show you how to replace the camshaft position sensor BANK 1, the car I am working on is a 2003 Infiniti g35
    symptoms of a bad camshaft position sensor are this ---
    1. vehicle is hard to start
    2. check engine light comes on
    3. vehicle does not drive like it used to
    4. SLIP light and VDC OFF lights turn on
    5. Vehicle shuts off
    this sensor is located on the passenger side of the vehicle

    Hey Felix. Cam shaft Bank 1 Sensor was not difficult the electrical plug snap easy and the install was a breeze , working on the clip for Cam Shaft bank 2 again to day before diagnostics of the Alternator

    Just did this and it didn't help at all... then I went back and realized I didn't push the sensor in enough and the bolt wasn't tightened properly. I tightening it, let the battery sit cleaned the terminals and clamps, and now it is working like normal again. If you aren't sure it is on there snug, do it again!

    Question I recently got a new battery because my last one was almost dead this code and check engine light came on sometimes my car (08 g35) won’t turn on first try it’ll appear dead then I go pop the hood and fidget the battery and then the car turns on but the code disappears any clue how to fix it ?

    I bought a 05 infiniti g35 sedan one day it stalled on me i replaced the cam sensors and crank sensor and nothing i called the lady that sold it to me only to find out that the gas gauge didnot work it says i have half of tank but tank was dry hahaha

      Frank Salazar they are separate sensors. Not connected together. So you should be fine if you only replace the one that is bad. Make sure to connect a obd reader to make sure which one you need to replace

      I changed both , because why not.
      I wouldn't cheap out on them , last year i bought 2 on Amazon amd i got the same problem . i got them from AutoZone now.

    Hey Felix , I replaced Bank 2 Cam Shaft Sensor Bank 2 , however it is difficult to get the electrical clip to snap onto the new sensor , I compared the old to the new and it’s are identical ,not sure why it’s not snapping securely , any thoughts would help .

    When you said pliers, trust me you shouldnt of corrected yourself. Bc that's what I had to use to yank out the sensor whilst pressing the button down

    Do you have any advice on how to get that 10mm bolt loose easier? I cant seem to get a wrench or a ratchet onto it properly without it slipping off. maybe some penetrating oil would help? any advice would be appreciated thanks man !

      But better tools like ratcheting wrenches for that job the smaller ratcheting wrench works best, currently doing this job while watching video on it

      Did you figure it out ? I replaced bank 2 and my problem still isn’t fixed I also have a code for knock sensor but I’m hoping it’s not that

    Question. I replaced my camshaft sensor bank 1 but didn’t here a click when putting in the new one. Should it alway click no matter what? Car works now but I still get the same code

      Make sure you erase the code first and see if it comes back. If you don’t have an obd code reader then try disconnecting the battery for 20 min and then connect it back and see if the codes cleared

      @@DesignatedName 1st thing I've ever done to a car and it took me and hour just being careful. But it was well worth my time . Good luck
      P.S I haven't had a crank related issue since I changed it

      @@invalidusername_5101 I have had no further issues. My old camshaft sensor was completely dirty and totally worn. Suggest this change to any high mileage car or truck. Save the worry.

    Are the bank 1 and bank 2 sensors different? or do they both work in either side of the engine?

      They are different. One is straight and the other has an angle to it

      I think bank 1 is straight, and bank 2 (driver side) has 45* angle.

      Could be your crankshaft sensor it’s under the car between engine and transmission. Also make sure they are oem sensor no Amazon or eBay otherwise codes will not clear. I bought mines at autozone after buying them from Amazon and worked like a charm

      This video got me confused because the symptoms of the camshaft position sensor is different. I did replaced the camshaft position sensor and didn't fix the problem. Because I need to replace the Crankshaft position sensor. So please don't follow this video. It wasted my time 👎

      I had difficulty unlocking the connector too. I finally used some vice grips to depress it far enough and then it came off easily.
