"Spiders are a thing, Olivia. " 😂 That's actually the only thing that stops me from camping. I live next to woods and there are big ass spiders here. I mean not as big as you are used to. I am still in Europe, So... But I mean. It's a spider. Anything bigger then a coin is horrific.

@@matthewbates9629 Right? Like who gave them the rights to do that?! :D In my house there is a lot of spiders during fall... Usually the size of that little plate that goes under mug. Whitch is small for a plate but WAY TOO BIG for a spider. :D and they can even grow bigger than this? What a nightmare.

I cackled when the lights started flickering. 😂 Very dramatic. Reminded me of something my partner and I do called Horror Movie Mode. When something happens we can't explain that looks like a stereotypical start to a horror movie, we pretend like we're in a horror movie and do all of the things that survivors do and avoid the things victims do. It's a whole ride.

What temp do you bake the marshmallow dip on?
we did 450 on the bottom rack for 3 minutes and then moved it to the top rack for a minute or so to brown the marshmallow

I am currently reading The Taking Of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglas. I am not that far In but its already very creepy. I love your video. Camping is a lot of fun!!!! We we’re going to go next month but now the pop-Up Trailer is acting up. So we’re going to figure out something else to do. I liked The Maidens but I freaking loved the Silent Patient. Its the book that got me into thrillers books.

I actually really liked the use of mental illness in The Silent Patient. As someone with BPD, it dealt pretty well with the stigma around the disorder and it didn't feel as exploitative as a lot of thriller/horror books which feature mental illness do.
oh, that’s good to know! unless it’s anxiety or OCD being used, i’m very hesitant to say if it should’ve been done/was done well.

@@oliviareadsalatte It's not trying to be BPD representation, as in trying to show what it is like to live with BPD but I liked the conversation on the stigma. BPD is one of the most stigmatized mental illnesses out there. We're made out to be master manipulators, unable to actually hold healthy relationships and taking advantage of everyone we come by. When I first started reading the book, I was really scared that the author was playing into those stereotypes by throwing around that diagnosis, but actually using the stigma as a plot point? That's clever. I like that.
@@mlleariane6667 I think BPD and Schizophrenia are the 2 I’ve seen where they’re utilized in an exploitative and stereotypical way in thrillers, which is why I was nervous about this one too. I’m so glad to hear it wasn’t the case though and thank you so much for taking the time to let me know! I’m going to give it another go, but through this lens. I think I’ll enjoy it more, so thank you again for that!
