Z2 and Audio Up Unite for Original Graphic Novel
Chronicling the Rise of Fictional Country Star

Audio Up and Z2 have announced a new partnership to
produce Neon Empire. The renowned podcast network and graphic novel and merchandise
publisher will collaborate on a groundbreaking graphic novel and original soundtrack
penned and performed by some of country music’s biggest stars. The journey of fictional
upstart Kountry Boi will document how hip-hop evolved from a fringe genre in Nashville to
the dominant face of Music City.
The Neon Empire soundtrack will be produced by Audio Up CEO Jared Gutstadt and will
feature brand new music. Gutstadt has worked across multiple genres with the likes of L’il
Wayne, Bob Dylan, Machine Gun Kelly, Timbaland, Nicky Jam and country acts ranging
from Jelly Roll, Elle King, Uncle Kracker and Breland.
