Why I think Luka’s Character was Wasted

These are all just my opinions on Miraculous. I’m not saying this is how the show should have gone, but how I personally would have liked to see it. Everyone has their own opinion on how they would like to see things go.

There was so much potential for Luka, yet the writers (Thomas in particular) chose to focus on making Adrien and Marinette get together.
Thank you, I finally found someone who doesn’t say that Luka has no character. If he had no character I wouldn’t have written an entire essay about him.
Besides it was so easy to keep him in just out of my head: They could make Bob Roth threaten Luka to sign that contract, Gabriel would come in and do something like promoting that alliance ring with Luka’s music debut or something, XY could get jealous that Bob Roth gives so much attention to Luka and get akumatized, Gabriel would give him powers to force Luka to admit who LB and CN are but since it would be mid season he would get saved. Adrien could come into the scene later and talk with Luka what it’s like to be famous and stuff
Later at the finale with the whole cloud nightmare plot Luka could get overwhelmed and not be able to calm down and that’s where Gabriel would come in, forcefully akumatize him and Luka would reavel the identities.

Its true that lukas character was waisted its such s shame cz we isnt like the blonde stereotypical dude in almost every “romance”
I really feel like Luka was a great match for Marinette. He cared about her interests, He understood when he needed to give Marinette her space. he rooted for her at every turn. I feel like Luka is a character, Adrien being another, where if they were to be selfish, I would completely understand. Luka is vulnerable, he makes his feelings known and waits for Marinette to figure out hers. When he sees the pressure this puts on her, he ACKNOWLEDGES it and reassures her that she cannot make a wrong decision. In a time where Marinette's pain went unnoticed, Luka was there. Luka and Marinette work because they talk with one another, they know what the other person likes. By the time that Luka is introduced, we didn't have enough time to understand WHY Marinette and Adrien are perfect for each other. Lukanette is show don't tell where Adrienette is all tell.
The whole show was wasted imo

kinda unrelated but if u dislike most of the show and characters than why be so invested in the show in the first place? like shit never makes sense to me
