So say I didnt disconnect my battery during this repair. And say the SRS light is on my dash now. Do I have to get it professionally cleared?

Hmm. You might have not plugged it in all the way or may have shorted something out. I would first unplugged the battery and then try reinstalling it.

@@Sucat I tested everything with a multimeter, and the connector behind the airbag isnt shorted. Im not sure what it is. Ill check again.

Could be a few things. The srs module may have shorted. The steering wheel was not centered. The clock spring may be faulty from the factory. Have you tried to reset the code. Sometimes thats all it takes. Hope this helped some.

@@Sucat I tried a few of my steering wheel buttons this morning, right side doesn't work at all. I definitely shorted my clock spring haha! Ill be sure to disconnect the battery this time. Thanks for your info!

Will replacing this fix my cruise control? The cruise button itself works but set and resume and cancel does not work

Honestly i am not sure i know none of his steering controls worked until i replaced it. I cant remember if cruise was part of that or not.

The buttons on left side of my steering wheel stopped working on my '13 Veloster, just replaced my clock spring, didn't fix problem, must be in the buttons' wiring going to CS (dammit!)

Where did you get The clock spring . Seems like eBay is the only one who as them but I’m always skeptical of ebay

    • @Sucat

The customer bought it. I think he said he did get it from ebay though.

Sucat thanks I guess I’ll go ahead and get it from there. They are no more than 30 bucks and offer returns so it’s not a huge hole in the pocket. Thanks for the reply

@@lizardgreen2121 hey man just talked to the owner of the car and he said he got it from amazon. Hope this helps. Sorry if i got back too late. But honestly ebay should be ok aswell. All probably come from the same place lol
