#Cinematic #Lighting #cinematography - Jak na to + styl
Those narrative shots are awesome and by having different colours in the light, it steals the show
Colour matching is essential!
The color has always been great
video are really informative and always teaches something.Light's angle, intensity, tone everything is just so important to shoot anything and everything
Really like the versatility of the Smallrig :) but I love the knowledge and wisdom being shared, gracias hermano
You’re welcome dude! All about lighting 👌🏽👌🏽
Love this channel. Great vibe
Lighting is the key to making your videos look cinematic! Thank you for these tips dude!
Love it!
Your videos look truly cinematic. ✨ I like the versatility of the smallrig light! I have bi-color led panel but It's just 36W.. so I definitely feel the need for something with stronger output.
Great Video Victor. Really well explained and Demonstrated!
Hope it helped!! 🙏🏽
Victor! This video deserves 10 billion likes. Such an informative video. Keep em coming please
Thank you!! More definitely coming soon 🙌🏽
Great informational video with legit examples! 🙌🏽
I can’t wait to do a full blown lighting breakdown! Very soon
@@VictorLaforteza 100% looking fwd to that!!!
Excellent advice as always and beautiful images !
I’ll do a better full lighting tutorial at some point when I get reunited with my gear!
@@VictorLaforteza Honestly the principles from this are excellent for anyone looking for some quick tips. If you were to dive into more detail, it may be worth looking to put it into a series behind a full filmmaking mini course ! Things like lighting angles and intensity for mood; color science for mood in conjunction with camera angles etc. Don't sell yourself short -- this video brings immense value and anything more is just a nice bonus !
Thanks so much for this Taylor! really appreciate the feedback. Actually a small course isn't a bad idea!
Thanks for the tips that I'll need in the future 😊🥳
Definitely worth using on your next coming gigs!! 🙌🏽
Another great one Victor. Although I know most of what you show on your videos, I really enjoy watching them. Still cannot understand how you re still on 11k subs. You deserve WAY more.
On a side note, I work with a lot of models, like you do as well, and many times I feel it is hard to light them cinematically when they have "long" hair and it falls along side their face bc there always seems to be shadows whether soft or hard from the angle of the light, so many times I find myself having to light more frontal in order to avoid that. Hope that makes sense.
Thank you so much! I find I’m liking the small community we’ve built up than too many subs. May be good in the long run but we’ll get there :) I find myself doing the same, revisiting old basic techniques as sometimes I forget that these matter more than a lot of stuff on set.
Have you tried even bigger light sources? When I brought out the 8’x8’ with 600w light? Might be over kill lol but I find it’s more natural looking and softer “hair” shadows. But I do find smaller lights to have these issues and I tend to be more frontal as well with it!
Great video brother! That light is great for the price!
Thank you brother! any questions about it feel free to ask!
Thanks for the tips kuya! Malaking tulong mga videos mo saming mga newbieee ! 🔥
Walang anuman!! Sana magamit niyo yung tips soon!!
Definitely going to check out that small rig light! I already have multiple modifiers with bowens mount for photography so having a bi-color light for video will be clutch! Keep up the great videos man!
Definitely don’t have to worry about gels anymore! Those always were a pain.
I was looking for a light that i could use with my 200d, and i think this one can work. Tks a lot
Almost the same price as the 200x, this one just has a travel case!
really liking your videos short sweet and informative...way to many vids trying to stretch it all out and fill time with fluff.
Thank you! I try to cut down all the fluff before posting!
Amazing tips mate, I'm on the market for a new COB, I'll definitely check that Smallrig one ! I built my FX30 rig from your recommandations, amazing mate, thank you so much !
Amazing David! If you have more questions about COB lights, definitely give me a shout on IG! I can give specific recommendations based on your needs :)
@@VictorLaforteza Thank you so much ! I'll definitely do then ! keep up your amazing work mate, that's crazy value 🙏🙏
First things first. Those “narrative short film setup” shots 😭 I’m definitely motivated to attempt a similar look 🥺 To say those shots are cinematic would be an understatement 🤞🏾 an exceptional video once again. I would like to see you motivate some practical lights in another video if possible. From this video I learnt how and where to position motivated light 🙌🏾 Keep doing what you doing.
It was quite easy to pull off! I had an overhead light (just a standard table light) and then the smallrig high up at a 30 degree angle pointed at me with a soft box and grid! I will do a full lighting tutorial at some point once I get back to Canada! I left 90% of my gear there lol
Love your videos bro! One question…What is the name of the font you use in your videos?
Hey again V! Just bought all of your LUT packages, thank you so much, can’t wait to use them. I have a smaller version of that light! It’s magnetic, and works very well. Do you mind telling me the font you used? I see it in a lot of your videos, and it reminds me of something for my childhood that I used to enjoy. Sound weird, I hope you understand!
Hi Teddy! Hope you are liking the LUTs pretty well! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out on IG or join the discord 🙌🏽 the font is called NT Wagner. I totally get it! That’s why I use it too. Reminds me of something nostalgic when I was a kid as well.
Omg we have the same first light SL-60W
haha! isn't it awesome!! it's still a good light even to this day!
dude what promist do you use ?! your videos are pleasing to the eye ! good job man keep itup
Thanks dude! I use a Haida 1/4 nanopro mist black
I had the 120 on my wish list, but I think it's better to take the full leap. I really like the handling with the app and more so if you are a filmmaker going solo around the world. What do you think of the lamp as a softbox?
Yeah I think with the 220b is good for all around use and it’ll be future proofing you a bit for future projects. Great for softbox, bounce, book light, or other lighting techniques. The higher the power of a light the better you can soften it as it can go through more diffusion
What type of diffusion filter are you using?
Haida 1/4 nano pro mist black
@@VictorLaforteza Thanks!
SmallRig light looks like it works. Hello! I'm captain obvious lol! No but I do like the fact that they go from 2700K to 6500K. Which is a better range than I can say for the Aputure lights at the same sort of price point.
Hahahah right! The amaran 200x is almost the same price but performs the same as this. Also the smallrig one has a travel case!
I wouldn't call it a "hack". It's more simply known as "motivated lighting".
Of course! Just trying out some CZcams things on CZcams haha!
@@VictorLaforteza Great suggestions either way. 😁
