    Can relate so much with the flies! We are up near coral bay now and the flies are much better up here!
    Hectic story with the fly in the ear. So sorry to hear that happened!!
    Good to hear you’re on the mend.
    Looking forward to seeing the next setup!

      Hey George, yes we were in Coral bay a few days ago, it’s actually where we edited this video and the flys were basically gone. We are now near Exmouth and there are none here 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 safe travels 👍👍

    So glad it all got sorted out. Glad you’re looking after your health first. What a drama. Stupid flies. But what an adventure.

    Another really great video. Beautiful locations but those flys would make me think twice about going there. The flies are relentless and so many. I guess it would be easier to get away from them having a caravan. But all the costs that come with having a caravan have to be taken into consideration as well?
    The fly in the ear would have taken me right over the edge, hopefully Shannon has made a full recovery. All the best guys, safe travels.

      Thanks Darren, yes the flys have definitely sent us crazy 😝 I think we both would have loved to have a caravan in that moment just for some reprieve but you are right it is a huge overall expense and not sure something we are ready for. I am at about 95% now and feeling much better. Thanks for watching and your lovely comment. 👍👍

    Very happy you got better mate! Sorry to hear that you had to do some re-travel.
    Amazing channel, watching this just makes me wanna pack my Mrs on the roof and put my swag in the boot and head off!!
    Keen to see what swag you get!
    Any tips for storage/ camping with the swag? Would be amazing to hear if you have any tips?

      Thanks mate !! yes feeling much better, a bit of re- travel is all part of it just glade I didn’t have to take an ambulance this time to emergency 😊. Make sure you put an extra strap on the Mrs on the roof you don’t want to loose her on those corrugated roads🤣🤣. Have heaps of swag living tips after nearly 2.5 year full time in one, what do you want to know? Maybe we can make a vid on it. Thanks for watching and your support 👍🤙🤙

      @@4solitude4S that sounds like a great idea! Definately just interested in whatever you think is relevant. I like the KISS principle. I had draws, sliders, roof top all that and it was just too much for everyday use. Now I just put the fridge and have found that just packing each trip is the way to go but I'm getting older so much sorer every trip hahah. Maybe the few things that you use all the time and what you would do different? For example new swag because the old one was not very good.
      One question I do have, why a ute over a wagon that you sleep in?
      I like swags and reckon that versatility of a part time camping four wheel drive vs a full time would be different. A video on that would be amazing.
      Also I found a bargain which can't go unnoticed, I saw you have a jetboil and I have always wanted one. Kmart sell the camp master equivalent which is cheap as chips and man am I impressed. Maybe anything like that you could think about?
      Another thing I use all the time are the hardkorr u lights, love them to bits.
      Your welcome on the support, I have seen a lot of the you tubers go and buy a 200 and a huge setup immediately after getting a bit of money, not everyone can afford that and it is just not needed. One reason I like watching your vids is the genuine experiences!

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks mate, I love the KISS principle as well. Good question about the Ute over wagon, we already had the Ute as it was my work ute so it was simple to just keep it and set it up for touring. We had a Pajero for a while and absolutely loved it!
      But think the Ute is easier to live out of for access to all your gear.
      Thanks for the vid ideas, it’s always good to know what you guys are interested in for us to make a video on.
      My Jet boil is on its last legs so will have to check Kmart out. Thanks for the hot tip!! 👍😊

    Had the same thing happen to me as a kid tried to catch a fly in my ear but it went inside my ear instead
    When they flushed it out it had laid it’s larvae ( maggots) in my ear not something I want to go through again
    Another great episode hope you’re feeling better 🍻

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  Před 2 měsíci +1

      😳 maggots !!! I never considered that. I hope they got everything out of my ear 🤯. That sounds terrible especially as a kid. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and your support 👍😊😊

    Oh you poor things, all from a blinkin fly. So in hindsight is there anything you could have in your kit or that would you do different? Besides a new setup…. Can’t wait to see!! Have a good week. Alexandra

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey Alexandra, yes we have added some wrap around sunglasses, cut up a buff that we use to put over our ears and it works great, we also would love a mesh dome tent that we could stand up in to eat, relax,edit videos and just have some reprieve from them and wearing a fly net for a minute. Thanks for watching and your comment. 😊😊👍

    The fly was just trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty😅 On a serious note, glad you're okay mate. Please carry a Thermacell or a Nitecore EMR10 with you guys, helps heaps with those pesky buggers. Did you say OKA, you have my interest now. Can't wait to see what you guys upgraded to.

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks mate, we have now picked up one of these things to help with the bugs. We are still unsure about the OKA, lots of work lots of money😳 and we like to keep things simple. Thanks again for the comment and watching. 😊👍

      @@4solitude4S Totally agree with you mate, the prices of things especially anything recreational, is through the roof. The only things that look tiny bit affordable are those used Hilux motorhomes. You may want to have a look at them.

    Fly swarms are the worst. Worse than mozzies, worse than midgies. Almost worse than salt water crocs. I wouldn't wish a fly in the ear on my worst enemy. That was hard to watch!

    • @4solitude4S
      @4solitude4S  Před 2 měsíci

      I definitely wouldn’t recommend it! Yes fly swarms are the absolute worst. Thanks for watching 👍🤙
