BUT if it hadn’t been, then him already dying from the poison before being stabbed wouldn’t have mattered. Because it is still murder to accelerate someone’s death even if they are already dying. (I don’t know if that makes sense in this comment, but when I watched the show the sherif annoyed me with his murder theories, because it was self defense, but also the ignoring of accelerating someone’s death still being murder.)
Anyway, that’s just a small rant I’ve been wanting to give for some time as someone who knows a bit about criminal law. 😂
