These videos are necessary for many in our trade to learn how the dpf system works , as many simply just smash the middle out , and remap , well done Jimmy for educating so many 👏 👍 😀, its funny how manufacturers are installing a "mileage replacement setting " on these big money items , a friend of mine over 20 yrs ago who was a printer engineer, had his printer at home stop working he removed the units cover , and had a quick look around , to his disbelief he found a countdown unit , which displaced remaining prints available, it was showing zero, he reset it to 999,by turning the units numbers and the printer started working again 🙈, so they have been at it for years 🤬
Brilliant videos. Thanks for sharing. My Citroen Berlingo DPF made it to 115,000 miles before it was allegedly blocked. So approx 180,000km just like the ones you've fixed.
Any chance you could do a video comparing your scan tools? I was going to pickup the top don 800bt but I don’t think it shows things like the dpf pressure, replacement part coding etc, ideally looking for a good budget diy tool that can do most things on the relay/jumper/boxer/ducato vans, cheers👍
Normally once the Dpf cleaner is injected the readings go down... In this instance they actually went up as the van heated up... To fair they were relatively low from the start... I would hazard to guess besides resetting the "Planned Obsolescence" clock the van was okayish
Hey Jimmy. I've watched a bunch of your DPF cleaning videos. Really nice work! :) Does the DPF gun that you connect to the compressor make much difference compared to spraying it in with someting like a gardening sprayer? I'm thinking about doing the clean on my 2 liter TDI based on your videos :)
Basically at 120k miles it's telling you your vehicles knackered. You've proven this now with other vids, Legal action is required, I hope the claims mob find your vids, let the fun begin.
Cars with stop start have a counter for the starter motors too. So when the counter gets to zero, the stop start system stops working. Safety thing ………. Stop start starter motors are a bit pricier too….
Indeed! came across that on a Nissan, starter is coded to a maximum of 250,000 cycles so hit that and you need to replace it....I suppose it's possible that a vehicle doing constant stop/start urban mileage could hit 250k but the rest of it esp engine would be pretty worn by that time anyway.
Hi jimmy ive taken a call regarding flames 🔥 coming out of am exhaust I believe it’s a Ford van could that be a vaporiser over vaporising . Any info would be gladly appreciate .
Sorry cannot help you in any useful way but from watching jimmys videos id say check for soot in the tail pipe indicating a cracked DPF and maybe letting flames and vapour past and out the exhaust?
Yet again another one with a hidden mileage warning countdown. How many poor customers either pay for something that the potentially don't need or shift the car on, again for no reason.!!
Don't want to be a party pooper but listen out for slack cam chain if that don't get you maybe a dropped valve will 😢,. As for oil changes every 25,000 they got to be dreaming. One more thing they have decided that you should be using 0-20w oil after months of testing by Toyota which use the same van / engine
Many thanks for sorting my van Jimmy. You're a true gentleman and I would recommend your services to anyone 👍
Any time!

Yes the gun makes it foam so it expands into the full DPF
