My uncle has been a lifelong Green Bay fan and never thought he'd be able to make it to a game until we surprised him with Packers vs Bears tickets at the packs home opener! We're driving 12 hours from Knoxville TN!
How'd it go?
I haven't been to Lambeau in years.
@@beeragainsthumanity1420 It was awesome! Huge crowd and a very nice stadium. Lots of tailgating before the game too. We all had a blast and will hopefully be making it a yearly tradition!
@@Fballer7573 👍
I’m putting this out there one day I will travel to Wisconsin and watch a game live . Wish me luck
Dude as a resident of a small town near green bay I can tell you the atmosphere is something else on game day. I would suggest an early season Sunday night game the trail getting before those are a blast. However if you're not from the upper midwest you definitely want an early season game it does get cold here and the stadium really has no shelter to speak of, also buy your winter coat here they really are not the same other places I've been.
Go pac Go
Me too!
You gotta do it man! I love Lambeau
Let us know how it is when you end up going
I’m Chicago here. I will say I respect how Packers are own by the citizens of Greenbay.
It’s a fan experience!
Citizens everywhere! You don't have to be a resident of green bay to own a share of the Pack, even if you're a Bears fan.
I'm Wisconsin. We can agree to "hate" , but, we always have respect.
The team is not owned by the citizens of Green Bay. It's owned by shareholders, who are located around the world.
The packers Represent the whole state of Wisconsin. Such as the Milwaukee bucks, don’t just Represent Milwaukee.
@@chocolate-gq5cs truth! just imagine if the Lions win the Super Bowl. Would it be international celebration or only Michigan celebration?
OMG! I’ve been watching your Europe vids forever and now you’ve come to my home town and I didn’t know it? So happy you had a chance to experience big time football in a small town! We’re special, we know it, and we’re blessed. That’s why we’re so passionate!
Same I live near Green Bay and to this day I haven’t been to a game and I’m might go there for my birthday
when it comes to football there is NO PLaCE but lambeau. most fans dont even seem to realize the packers dont have an owner. i seen some shlub on reddit even trying to say the packers almost left town in the early 90s. we need to make more of a fuss about how different this team is. people dont get it. also lambeau is the crown jewel of all of wisconsin. everyone is fiercely proud.
I grew up about 45 miles north of Freen Bay and, yeah. Great place, Lambeau! We never could manage tickets during the season, but we went to at least one preseason game every year.
Best tips for visiting Wisconsin, always watch for deer and never forget to tell your folks I says hi.
Hi from Costa Rica we love the Packers my all family is a Big Packers fan’s “pura vida”
I LOVE everything about the LAMBEAU experience……..everything being done around the stadium is absolutely amazing.Hats off to everyone involved with those projects.GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!!
Watching this sir because we are going to the game this weekend!!
Awesome! Have fun!
See ya there!
I was there great game hey!
I was there for the Seahawks game. Loved it!! It snowed and it was awesome.
Hope you had a fantastic time! Go Pack Go!
Love love love!!! I’m a huge Green Bay fan and a Wisconsinite . It’s unlike any other stadium 💚💛💚
I do want to visit one day, despite being a Bears fan. It's a nice piece of history!
I went to a GB vs Chi game at Lambeau. We were all very friendly to the bears fan. Beers shared, grilled sausage, and good laughs.
Obviously we want you to lose (or, more, we want us to win), but mostly we're excited for you to share in the stadium history
We welcome bears fans. We will feed you and give you green and yellow jello shots still
A quick note about the “beer man.” They used to have beer men before covid and you were able to buy from. They may return after covid is no longer an issue but who knows. But they were present at every game I’ve been to at lambeau field! Another note is that they went cashless due to covid reasons so they may accept cash in the future! Go Packers!!💚💛
That is what they told me too. But they weren't very convincing in their explanation :)
The beer vendors in the stadium is never going to happen again it is all cash less now so that will not work
I think now going cashless just prevents employees from having to deal with cash. It has to be so much easier. Enough so, that it's worth losing some customers who don't pay cash.
They were gone before covid
@@4Realzeaz it may have been a hybrid but I was there pre covid and there were still in person stands where you were able to go and get food from
Thank you everyone who made this possible from Milwaukee Wisconsin
I've been watching your travel videos for years and now you did one in my hometown! That's awesome! I hope you had a good time, and GO PACK GO!!
Thanks John. We had a fun time.
As a die hard packer fan, I love Lambeau field. I've been there throughout my life and the training camps are electric. I went to the packers lions game and bought an A. Jones jersey and since then they've went 8-1!.
Tip- drink before the game to save yourself from $7 Millerlites inside the stadium
Can't believe someone would do video about the Toilet in Green Bay but in all fairness if does resemble an outhouse!! SKOL
@@bradleyreese8925 Brother. It is the most beautiful stadium in the U.S.
Well, we're from Wisconsin.
Been blessed to not only attend a few Packer games, but was part of an on-field half time performance at Lalalala Lambeau! This was fun to watch. Hope you had a fabulous time!
I would have also added that tickets are mobile-only at Lambeau. The Packers implemented this change starting with the playoff games they hosted last season. They are actually the second to last NFL team to implement mobile only tickets
A thank you Jonathan, Hannah, and Julie for inviting us to the game!
It's awesome that you know Jonathan Allen! He was a wonderful player at Alabama and I'm so happy Washington gave him that big contract extension. Roll Tide!
@@PulgaYCholito he is a good guy too
@@woltersworldhow long do you think u should wait after the game to get an Uber or rideshare??
@gates1980 i have done right after and an hour after. Prices was a bit better but not a hige difference
I went to Wisconsin for college, I grew up in Chicago, so I am a Bears fan. I saw two Bears-Packers games at old County Stadium, the Bears and Packers were equally bad in the mid-70's, so each game was our mini Super Bowl[the Vikings seemed to win the division every year]. The experience was great, especially the tail-gating before and after. I've only been to Lambeau once; during the summer of 1975, nothing was going on and they let me walk in to look at the field. Great venue, can only imagine the energy of seeing a game there!
HA! looks like your seats were about 15 rows in front of ours, love goal line seating!!! 2nd generation season ticket holders - sometimes we forget how blessed we are, it was so cool seeing this video.
Lambeau tours and the HOF are not open on game days. The Friday before the game is always a good time. Saturday’s they have legend tours, where a former member of the Packers will guide you on the tour.
The HOF is open on game days, the stadium tour is not.
I can honestly say the nicest place to watch a game is Green Bay. We don’t care who you are or what team you’re rooting for, just don’t be a dick. Enjoy, laugh, drink(whatever) and have fun. The worst visiting fans I’ve ever experienced was Chicago fans coming up but that’s ok because they get silenced quickly.
Regardless if you're a Packers fan, it's safe to say Lambeau is a one-of-a-kind stadium, and it's super cool that average fans can be "owners" of an NFL team since they're publicly owned! 🧀 🏈
It is cool. Not every stadium is worht visiting, but if you are coming to the US, Lambeau, Wrigley Field, Fenway are the three you should visit
Mark:"Fans here are super friendly"
Me, a Bears fan: yeah, I doubt that 😂😂😂
Glad that you added that important note about the fans from Chicago
I had that thought when I went to a Penguins-Flyers game in Philadelphia. The Flyers fans were great - I'd absolutely go back to Philly for a game.
yeah, all the people around us made a point to tell me they love visiting fans, EXCEPT bears fans :)
Packer fan. I went to the season opener in 2018 against Chicago (you know, the one with the 20 point comeback). Everyone was super polite to bears fans. Beers shared, laughs had.
Obviously Packer Backers want Packers to win, but it's such a neighborly stadium. The most important thing is to enjoy football and have fun. Super friendly place, dude
@@ThriveBodyFit My mum once went to a game at the Patriots stadium when Favre was starting for the Jets. The Jets won the game and she was physically shoved around by the Patriots fans.
We welcome bears fans we will feed you and serve you green and yellow jello shots
I lived in Green Bay for three years. I worked at the Barnes & Noble bookstore just down the road from Lambeau. Many of the former/current Packers are authors and you can pick up their books at that B&N, often already signed copies.
OMG this is such a helpful video. As a Packers fan, I def hope to make it out to Lambeau Field for a game one of these seasons and this is the kind of inside scoop I need.
Best place to go if you want a Super Bowl feel without paying the high prices for those tickets. Green Bay knows how to party and have a good time the whole football weekend. Lambeau should be on every football fan's bucket list of stadiums to watch a game, regardless if your team is playing.
This video is so awesome, you should do more of these type of videos.
thanks Tobi
Great ones event travel is what we always do so good to see some stadium tips
Here are some other tips for game travel...don't think aftermarket tickets are evil...this isn't they days of scalpers online services are honest and can be the source if some Great bargains as well as last minute access
I get green bay is friendly but if your going to go in enemy colors try to sit by the visitors bench...it doesn't always work but most fans know thats a code and home fans there normally are friendlier
And ill say Jocelyn had guts...I know my wife is a fanatic and she's careful where she goes in opposing colors yes jerks are few but it only takes 1
I remember when she got called a slur for wearing wnba gear to a met game. Bottom line men plus alcohol means women need to be more careful...sad but true
I'm not big on tailgating but if you are Excellent
Best video ever - thank you Wolters! Go Pack Go!
I hope you had a great time in my home state of WI! I love going to Lambeau to watch my GBP play! But you missed to say, don't forget to find the drumline and listen to them for a little while! Haha Go Pack Go!
Not a Packers fan but definitely loved this report. Thank you.
When my mum and I did a tour in 2017 one of our tour guides was at the infamous Ice Bowl game. It got so cold that day someone died in the stands from exposure. As we were leaving the stadium we had Ahmad Brooks pull up next to us in his car! It was a great experience and the restaurant in the stadium has amazing food - my grilled cheese had apple slices in it!
We Wisconsinites definitely know our food, particularly beer and food. Glad you enjoyed!
@@W2splyntr I was weirdly excited about the apple slices and I was 23 at the time. It was worth the long drive!
Yeah, there were apparently 2.5 million people at the ice bowl, if you know what I mean
Years ago before they renovated Lambeau field you were allowed to leave the stadium and come back in if you had your ticket stub and at half time all of the stoners would meet by the flag pole and smoke pot and the cops just turned their backs to it it was great because you would meet up with friends you haven’t seen in a while
Awesome video!!! Super excited as I'm going this weekend from Miami, FL!!
When you started talking about visiting teams, I was really waiting for that note at 1:35.
Keeper movin! Go Packers!
The chants and songs were fun
Finally something from Wisconsin 😆
Thank you for visiting my hometown! Its a beautiful place with wonderful (albeit drunk) folks & a good time. ❤️ I’m living in Dallas these days and I miss my home every day.
The people here are still as drunk as they always have been. Gotta love Green Bay haha
You killed this! Thank you for being so informative 🙌🏼 go pack go!
Great video! We were at that same game last year and agree with your perspective! Especially the need to wear layers, as even Fall games can get chilly with the wind and especially if you’re sitting in the shade! Go Pack Go!
Thank you for sharing
I've been to several games. Nothing beats, however, the playoff atmosphere at Lambeau. I was at the Dez Bryant "No Catch" game. We had so much fun with some of those Dallas fans. It really added something to the experience. Previous games I'd been to had been divisional games. It's not just Bears fans the Packers fanbase shuns. They react the same to Vikings fans. Not as big of a problem with the Lions fanbase, largely because the Lions haven't been relevant in so long.
I LOVE Lambeau! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Green Bay Packers!!!!!!!!!!!! And much of the money from concessions go to charities!
Buffalo wins the award for worst fans If you're a visiting fan,I found Seattle fans were great as a visiting fan and they are really respectful.
Eagles fans are the worst, throw batteries and snowballs at Santa Claus
@@nam1971 I hear Philly fans are awful, but Buffalo fans are the worst I've seen in person.
Definitely in my bucket list
I have never been to any professional or college game in my 49 years on earth but I bet it is fun. I could never afford the tickets to such an event. I have been to a high school football game before though.
eh, you can get college tickets pretty cheap. just depends on what level you're talking about. if you wanna see ohio state/michigan or the iron bowl, it'll be expensive. if you wanna see a G5 team, you can probably get tickets around $20.
ive been to the shoe (ohio state) and peden stadium (ohio). honestly ive had better experiences at peden stadium. im a buckeyes fan, but going up there is so expensive, parking sucks, etc.
No. Never been to a Packers game in Green Bay but tickets are pretty affordable.
You babe to buy them from places like Vivid Seats SeatGeek ECT.
Packers don't actually sell any single game tickets at all.
GO BEARS!!!!!!
This is a very well done video. From the audio to video … informative.. demeanor… clear and concise speaking. Honesty super impressive .
This video was amazing I can’t wait to go to a game! GO PACK GO!!!
Trust me, those metal benches make a crease across yer arse that you'll remember forever! Fortunately, for the dozens of games I've attended, we were on our feet screaming for much of them!
Lambaeu is awesome! As a veteran WIite I even learned stuff thanks for sharing!
Cool to hear!
I've met so many people from across the globe from living in Green Bay and attending the games.
Like he said, pretty much everyone is friendly and will gladly spare you a beer if you're tailgating.
I worked at Lambeau field a bit under a decade ago, so this info may not be accurate nowadays, but indeed they don't have people out in the stands selling concessions... unless you get one of the specialty seats up on the 4th or 6th floors. However, note that these seats are usually season ticket holders or have other special tickets that aren't easy to get your hands on. I ran the 6th floor kitchen for a year, and it was stressful! The food at Lambeau is amazing though, even if it is overpriced (as I'm sure it is as any stadium). Also, yes, bring layers! Even when you're walking through the hallways and stairwells and such, a lot of the building is exposed to the outside, so you'll want to walk in from the get-go with multiple layers of clothes on.
Welcome to Wisco! I swear we saw you in the Atlanta airport back in May. Hope you enjoyed your time at the game!
As a lifelong Packers fan, wasn't expecting to see this! Jealous because I've never been to Lambeau myself...still a great video!
it was a fun visit
Thx this was informative. Seeing an at home Green Bay game is on my bucket list
Was able to attend a Packers / Bears game back in December 2021. Great time and all in all, the Packer fans got along well with the Bears fans. Hope to go back someday!
I was at that same game, very fun! Also don’t forget to walk around in title town
Such a great video! 🙌🏻
Oh wow, this video hit the funny bone man. I live about a half hour from Green Bay and you were spot on. I even had to pause the video a few times due to excessive laughter, especially the part about Bears Fans. That was a riot.. keep up the good work
Love it :) we had fun
This is great!!!
Thank you well done as you do.
cheers!
My packers fan friends are really some of the coolest
Great video! Ill be visiting on Christmas this year. I hope it snows!
MetLife Stadium is cashless when you are inside as well. My uncle is a Jets season ticket holder, we've been going to the games for years. He's been a season ticket holder since 1964.
As a bears fan...I’d load up on baked beans two days prior to release the proper amount of farts. I’d also suggest sitting directly in the risers so you get maximum volume for your release.
As a lifer packers fan and Wisconsin native you have passed the vibe check.
Back in 1989 I went to a game in Green Bay (although as a Colts fan). The fans were great, although I didn't dress up in any Colts stuff. I just cheered at the wrong time....:) That game was Packer's Don Majkowski vs. Colt's Jack Trudeau!! Oh, the memories!!
Love your videos!
THank you!
Wisco! Awesome video sir!
I'm a Vikings fan who lives in Akron Ohio, Lambeau is definitely a place I have wanted to watch a Vikings game at. Our biggest rival, a team I love to hate, a game always has me on the edge of my seat. I kinda figured that it'd be a safe place to go watch a Vikings game at in Vikings gear. It's just a game, it's entertainment, I know some people can be jerks. Tailgating at least for a hour to socialize with Packer fans. When I finally do get the opportunity I'm hoping it's an early season game. It's all in good fun, especially when we can come and beat you on your turf. SKOL
Best place ever!!
Very informative, great video.
Im impressed getting tickets to a game! Bet that wasn't cheap!
I have an authentic stadium coat from the 1970s just like Vince used to wear.
Informative video. Going to watch Chiefs at Packers. My first time at Lambeau.
Wow i like come 2 america 2 experience my first game away from uk :) thank u 4 video 🙃😊🇬🇧🏴
Crazy that you're there!
You didn't even talk about the Titletown district?! There's a playground for young kids to play on, a full sized football field for anyone to play pick up games on before or after the actual Packer games, there's a sledding hill/ice skating rink, there's a brewery/restaurant and other stuff within a block of the stadium as well as the Packers Hall of Fame and Pro Shop. You can easily spend 2 days just doing stuff around the stadium because the whole reason the organization built the Titletown District is so you can spend an entire weekend doing stuff around the stadium instead of just coming for 1 day.
Also if you end up getting a hotel in Oshkosh for instance because all of the hotels in Green Bay are full.....if the GPS says it's a 50 minute drive, leave your hotel about 90+ minutes before kickoff. There's only ONE main highway that takes you to Green Bay if you're staying anywhere south of Green Bay, and the traffic is always bumper to bumper. That same drive back to Oshkosh after a game can take close to an hour and 45 minutes even if it normally takes about 50 minutes on a normal day.
I’ve never been to an official game, but I did go to Family Night (basically a for fun scrimmage of offense vs defense) as a kid, super fun, super inviting, and super cheap. Tell your folks I say hi, and watch out for deer!
Thanks Becca. Seriously with the deer. We saw sooooo many on our drive up.
The Lambeau experience has to be one of the best in the nation... every nfl team needs to examine it and take examples to apply to their experience. It's brilliant. Fans are great too... not a-holes at all... good people. Grew up blocks from Lambeau and spent a lot of time hanging out at the k mart that used to be next door.
Going to my first game against the bears! Thanks for the tips
Not bad, but if I may add a few other "do's"........After flying into Milwaukee, we stayed in Oshkosh, less than 1 hour away, Hotel rates were significantly cheaper.
Did hang out Saturday like suggested and secured a parking spot at the Best Western about a block away.
It was $30 for the spot and made it very convenient.
A don't (YMMV)
It was 11* during the playoff game against the giants in '17 and we were in the 3rd row....my lovely wife went to bring me a braut with cheese, it had to be hot when she bought it, not so much by the time she made it back to the seats.
A shout out to Lisa at the entrance who was handing out the Packer towels.
My granddaughter decided not to wear the winter socks we got her and was quite cold walking in.
Lisa noticed and actually took off her socks and gave them to us.....she would not accept anything from us except for thanks.....what an incredible human being.
Can't wait to do another game.
Packers fans are the nicest and friendliest you'll meet
It's nice to know about the bags. It really sucks they don't have a beer person.
Thnx 4 d info
If you aren’t attending a game, it’s best for you to do the HOF & Packer, the Stadium Tour, and Pro Shop on an off day. It’s a great experience for football fans in general since Packers are over a hundred years old, has a ton of football legends, and as you probably saw, once you do leave Lambeau, you’re still in Packer country.
Can't wait 2 more weeks! Going to my 2nd Packers game, first as an adult. The two hour dive ain't bad either.
Can’t Wait To Make It To One Of The Home Games Coming From Fl
I've never had a problem parking near Lambeau. Come early. I thought the parking prices were quite reasonable.
We get there plenty early and park for free on the streets in the neighborhoods. Maybe a 1/2 mile walk.
@@davidplitt535 we always park at the public safety building on Holmgren way. Last time it was 5 bucks and the rest rooms in the building are open. I'm old. 😬
The best solution is and don't get me wrong I love my packers stay home watch it on TV Not crowded beers in the refrigerator And a lot more comfortable
I’ve lived in GB all my life and I’m going to my first Packers game in a few weeks at Lambeau
Just bought tickets with my two friends who are Packer fans for the Vikings @ Packers game so I'm just binging Lambeau videos now lol. Also good to know Packer fans are nice I've heard nothing but good things about them.
Bundle up. It's gonna be bone-chilling cold. My son (first game for him) will be there as well. Enjoy. GO PACK GO
That was a real cool video, parking at someone's house, bet there is no get off my lawn guy on game days, this whole place looks so cool, obviously not the weathet but looks like a fun time!!!
Obviously you can only park on the lawns of certain homes. 😜
If you can spend the time and are a fan, spend a day at the stadium. The HOF is there and I could have spent the whole day there. Take the stadium tour, it is amazing, and you get to walk out to the field (not on it!) using the same tunnel the Packers do. Their franchise shop is amazing as well.
I'm about to drive up from PA for the playoff game love the packers never went going to be cold but so fun
OMG i just found out that my husband & i will never be able to watch our teams play in person!!!!!! Yes we are a house devided I am a HUGE Greenbay fan! My Husband a HUGE Chicago! When our teams play he watches in 1 room I in the other 40 years now & we absolutely do not talk about it! Our room half Greenbay half Chicago all the way down to the Greenbay\Chicago rug! Our vehicles too! Side by side in our double driveway! Anyway we have always wanted to watch a live game & well Chicago you may not survive! Now i know it'll be impossible in Greenbay too! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Don't believe it. GB fans are respectful.
Going to lambeau next week, gonna be chilly!
I did that at A Milwaukee Admirals Hockey Game: bought A “Blue Moon” beer at 1 kiosk, and then bought A “Giant Pretzel” at another kiosk, without any problems. I had however set my beer down on their counter (before I began ordering), and it was possibly blocked from view by the register or something else. So maybe they didn’t see it, or it’s just A different rule in Milwaukee.
You're in my state!!! Please come to the dells ❤
Nice
Please do a video on The do's and don't of Australia and our cities.👍🙂
