- This is the Guitar Tab for Hammer to Fall by Queen.
I'm playing all the instruments and singing all the vocals on this one.
And this one is going out to Brian May. I don't know if any of you have checked out Brian's channel, but the guy is too cool. He actually gets on there and plays all the classic Queen tunes. Definitely go check him out and subscribe...cause....well, cause he's Brian May Man...You got to recognize that he's a legend and how lucky we all are that we get to watch him play and interact with him....and, since I was able to literally sit at his feet and learn this iconic riff, I thought the least I could do was to dedicate it to him.
Now, the solos were a different story. No video for those, so I had to do it the old fashioned way, and slow down the original and get it note for note. So, I spent a few days listening and writing, and after about four days, I had the transcription.
Hope you like it.

@@ThePickingPythagorean Great to meet you too, Pythagorean! You are welcome. ✌
Checkcellent Man! Well done tabs really well done. Sweet LP!!! I've been on a 56 year quest for an LP. Now, I need a weight reliefed Studio(Tobacco Burst) or a Semi Hollow like a 339(Vintage Sunburst) as I'm down to a nerve damaged 1/4 of a right leg after having health issues. Your vid ....composition is excellent, thanks!
Yeah, I love this Les Paul!!!! It just gives you that perfect seventies crunch.
Hi! Your playing is absolutely amazing.
I have a question regarding the solo, how is the start of the 2nd solo orchestrated? I've been trying to figure it out but can't quite. Could you tell me how you arranged the guitars? Thank you!
Thank you so much!!!! And I'm guessing you are talking about the harmonies at 2:38. The main guitar is on a third C# of the A chord, so the harmony guitar directly below it is playing an A. The lower one below that is doubling the lead tone an octave lower, so low C#. And it pretty much stays those same gaps in A as the lead continues.
The lowest guitar is essentially playing an octave lower than the main, and the other guitar is playing whatever note fits the chord.
@@ThePickingPythagorean ahh That makes sense. Thank you so much.
Keep on rocking!🤘
Yes 🎸🌞
Thanks Alexander. So glad you liked it!!!!
Why is there a complicated riff before the solo but on the original there is no riff
It's there on the original album version. On the live versions they cut it, and I think they even made a single as well where the guitar solo is cut in half. So, you have to actually pull up the album.
