In the beginning when 'god' created us, someone was jealous of our hair, so they lied to us and brainwashed us and so we covered it with synthetic hair. But we are waking up. I straightened my hair for years, until there was nothing left to straighten. I've been wearing braids now 4 months to grow out the perm and I can't believe the difference it's made in such a short period. All the body has come back to my hair. Tonight I take the braids out and I'm just going to rock a fro. I love having short hair, I look so much fresher and you can see my face structure better. I tried this today with a curl enhancing shea butter, coconut and Olive oil mixture after applying oil on my wet hair. Came out super. Thank u for the tip.

Did this successfully, everyone loved it! It's getting to the time for washing. Do I have to separate all of them at this point or will just standing in the shower and running water through the hair soften and uncurl them so I can easily comb out the hair? This is the hair style I always wear! I do them once in a week or once in every 2 weeks, and people always asked me how I do them, now my hair is 4 now months after my big chop!

Thank you sooooo much. I've recently abandoned the wig (seen at left) and have been wearing a short tapered afro. I wanted this style but did not know which products or the technique to use, in order to achieve this look. I'm past middle age but hopefully I won't look foolish. I personally don't think I will and at last I won't look "outdated" as my daughter suggested.
Deidre I'm sure you'll look gorgeous. The great thing about this style is that the older it gets the better it looks! I'm rocking a week old coil out right now and I love how much volume I have.
Being Melody I can imagine it does look even better after several days. Just have to get used to twirling finger either finger.

Monique I sleep with a satin bonnet at night and the style pretty much stays. I may have to add some oil to my hair and fluff it just a bit. It should definitely hold through day 3.
