In this video I'm bringing you with me as I try to make Christmas in my home, by decorating and baking and making it a little cozy. While fighting a cold at the same time things got a little more messier than I thought, but I had a lot of fun while doing this, and I hope it can bring you a smile on your face and a little more Christmas feelings in your heart :)

Slippery elm bark and licorice root tea 🍵 are great for sore throats . In US we have it available at stores its called "Throat coat " tea 🍵 by medicinal herbs 🌿 😋 good stuff

In my native language it’s “nelk” , also means cloves and carnation flower

I did this a couple times when I was a kid. Probably in Girl Scouts.

Here we call the oranges studded with cloves (*whispers--carnations are flowers) pomanders. What a lovely video--it was peaceful and calming. I loved catching a glimpse of your kitty (I'm a cat-person), and also--hugs to Nanook. Have a wonderful holiday season.

Im laying in bed extremely sick with covid, just trying to eat soup. This virus almost killed me the first time I had it 2 years ago. It also set off many chronic autoimmune illnesses in my body which I suffer daily from. Just want you all to know how dear your videos are to us. They ease just a bit of the suffering and are like a therapy session for the worn out soul. I pray you all heal from your sickness also. And thank you for being you! ❤🙏 Merry Christmas!

I hope you are recovering well. I'm sorry you've had such a tough time with COVID and then the illnesses and conditions that it triggered. It's absolutely awful. I also suffer from health issues, mainly pain and COVID has been a huge concern of mine. Haven't gotten it, but wondering if exposure/asymptomatic COVID is what triggered mine as well. Jonna's videos are what brings me peace and happiness VERY often when I am down and bed bound or just mentally done. 🙂 She's such a positive light in the darkness.

When I bought my ring last year, I requested that it be left outside anywhere for a little bit - I'm so happy to know that they did it. It feels infused with good energy. I actually never removed it for an entire year.

I've been a chef most of my life and a baker for about half my career...I have never enjoyed watching someone bake as much as I've enjoyed watching you now. It brings me back to times and reasons why we spend time in the kitchen especially during the holidays...it's the joy and fun of just making something wonderful. My great grandmother was from Sweden and we still make her Christmas bun recipe every Christmas eve. They are the tastiest buns in the whole world and are made with cardamom. Cardamom is one of those spices that remind me of Christmas. Hope you are feeling better and had a lovely holiday season, Jonna!

I laughed along with you when you realized your recipe may not turn out as planned! I have had MANY of those moments myself over the years. Even if the buns weren't as tasty as they could have been, they were very lovely to look at! You and your husband are bright lights in this world for sure. My 14 year old daughter has been learning Swedish. My grandmother came to the US when she was 13. My brother has celebrated Santa Lucia for years. We started having friends over and making the saffron buns and pepporkakkor and glug. (Sorry for misspellings). Yes, I was thinking the same thing, cloves. We do that here in Northern California for Christmas, it adds a nice scent .Or you can boils orange peels with cloves, it has the same effect.

Nanuck looks and acts like my childhood dog, a Husky named Mickie. He loved the snow. Icecicles would hang from his fur! Mickie was very loving to us kids the same as Nanuck is. He would always sit near the table when we ate waiting for a snack, just like Nanuck did in this video! Good memories!

So true, i am the same. I came across her channel looking for sounds to listen and found her ice cracking sounds. Then her energy sucked me in and I was sat, just watching in awe at how beautiful and glowing her soul is, there is nothing but positivity her videos have been to me. We call them “pomanders” when we decorate oranges with cloves! I love making them as hostess gifts for holiday parties during this season. So lovely!

One year, my best friend Betty shared her wedding cookie recipe. It was doubled, but I doubled again by mistake. The ingredients were so big, all would not fit in my largest bowl!! So I had to half it and place equally in two large bowls. It was a mess! But the cookies made nice presents and they were delicious! Made with pecan meal❤

I was a child in northern Minnesota. I have Swedish relatives and ancestors. I love your videos because it makes me nostalgic. We put cloves in oranges for Christmas also. Such a wonderful scent!
This is one of my favorite videos of yours! Here in America all of the videos you will find are of perfection. A perfect house with perfect decorations and perfect baked goods that look professional. There seems to be no room for mistakes which, in my opinion, makes the viewer inevitably fail and make them feel not enough. It leaves disappointment and offers too much pressure which leads to the lack of Christmas Spirit. I love how open you are to mistakes and just having fun. I think it left your decor and experience the most beautiful that I've seen. And it has left me incredibly inspired. Which is very much needed this Christmas for me. It's my first Christmas without my mother as she just passed 7 months ago. Christmas was her favorite time of year, so I'm trying to keep the Spirit alive for myself, my children, and her. During this time and the past 7 months your saying "Be like the buffalo" has helped strengthen me. Thank you for that. And Merry Christmas to you both!!!

We put orange peels, cloves and cinnamon sticks in a pan with shallow water on the stove and simmer to make the house smell like Christmas in the house!! It’s SO good to see you again. The spice you used with the oranges is called cloves in English 😊. We would also traditionally do something similar in England called Christingle where you would put a candle in the top of the orange and decorate it with ribbon and sweets
Hej guys. I got cold too on 4th December!! So weird. I can confirm that garlic is really good. In Poland we use mixture based on milk. You need to warm some milk and pour it into mug where you have some pressed garlic, little spoon of honey and some butter. This is always helping me. Nanuk was so cute begging for some buns at the end of video 😂 it was difficult to focus on anything else 😅

7:50 i unexpectedly shed a tear here as togetherness at Christmas is something I've missed ever since 1997 when my partner of 21 years Muriel passed on.
