The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched India’s largest Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM3) rocket carrying 36 satellites onboard on Sunday from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

Spending 75 million dollars on an unmanned lander/rover to the moon that lasts just 10 days, just to claim a first on the Moon's South Pole to feel jubilant and show off before G20 is far-fetched/bad economics for a Country with more than 25 cities that will not have drinking water as predicted and polluted air and rivers. Spend and fix those first.
Vikram Sarabhai Patel who envisioned a space program for India stated correctly, then, it has to serve the real problems of man and society. But that is not what it is .. now. The government has failed in this regard. Once again there is nothing much for the common citizen, not in plain sight. Work on earth to solve Earth and India’s problems - Please, on behalf of all Indians. We don’t need to show off to China or anyone else.
