Michigan Spring Smallmouth Blade Bait BEATDOWN | The Pierhead Series Ep. 1

- In this video, we target big Great Lakes Smallmouth that were using the lakeshore lakes as their wintering homes. The fish were very lethargic due to the water temp being in the low 40s, so we had to fish slowly using blade baits to pick apart isolated deep cover such as wood, stumps, and rock piles.
Throughout this series, we attempt to showcase all the different fishing opportunities that the Great Lakes have to offer, specifically focusing on Lake Michigan. For 6 months, we are setting out to fish every single lake that is connected to Lake Michigan by a pierhead. We hope to highlight just a snapshot of all the different species of fish that can be targeted throughout different seasons. Please let me know what you think of this series and what species you'd like to see us target as we are still in the process of filming this series.

What’s the biggest factor you consider when finding fish?
I would say the weather/conditions is the most important thing to pay attention to while trying to find fish. Knowing what fish tend to do and how they tend to set up in different weather conditions is a huge help in locating fish on a new body of water!
What body of water is this. Did I miss that?
he didn’t reveal where he’s fishing, but it looks a lot like muskegon lake
Are you fishing in Lake Michigan or the lake that's connected to Lake Michigan? Nice work not revealing the name of the connecting lake 😂
The lakes that are connected to Lake Michigan!
