Can You Beat Fallout 4 With Only A Syringer? (in text form)
Seeing as the Syringer is a weapon based on syringes, I decided to be an old man and name myself Arthur Bernard Chesterfeld because Arthur Bernard Chesterfield wouldn’t fit and to prove that I know my ABCs. Regarding SPECIAL, I put 9 points into Intelligence to level up faster and to get access to the Gun Nut perk as soon as possible, Perception and Luck are worthless, and Charisma at 5 to have lower prices when buying presents for my grandson. I noticed before leaving that there isn’t an animation of Nora picking up Shaun, she goes from standing in front of the crib to holding him, but you can’t finagle the camera enough to see her pick him up. Odd. I tried to bring the tricycle I stole to the vault with me but it disappears into the shadow realm just passed the bridge, so I settled on a cone, went down into the vault, and the cone was gone.
The usual vault stuff happened, frozen, murder, theft of an inanimate object, and waking up inside the freezer, just a wholesome good time all around. Escaping the vault is as easy as putting the rake in the lake, just slam the doors closed behind you so the Radroaches can’t bite off your kneecaps, snag the Pip-Boy, and you’re out of the vault. As always, my first stop was Sanctuary to check on Codsworth to up my Endurance because why not, and begin destroying what remained of an already destroyed neighborhood. I wasn’t gonna go crazy with the wood this time, I didn’t even have the Idiot Savant perk, I only cut down a couple dozen trees and put down like 650 fence posts. It leveled me up a few times, I picked the few perks I could that would benefit me early on, mostly regarding the amount of damage I can take, and left to head towards Diamond City. I went ahead and let Preston clear out the area in front of the Museum of Freedom, let Trudy kill the raiders giving her trouble, and pressed onward. Like most gimmick weapons that are a nightmare to use, the Syringer is only available in a few locations. There are actually about a dozen different places where you can find a Syringer, but I’ll have to go to Diamond City anyway, so why not just get my weapon from there.
Paladin Danse bravely fought off a small army’s worth of Ghouls while I stood on top of a sign and laughed at how savagely they beat him. I looted all the corpses he’d made, left, and eventually arrived at Diamond City where I spoke to Doctor Sun and finally bought my Syringer. Now, here’s the thing about the Syringer, it is awful for a few reasons. The first is that unlike, say, the Commie Whacker or the Fat Man, there are no damage-boosting perks that apply to it. Rifleman boosts the damage of non-automatic rifles by 10%, but not the Syringer. Bloody Mess provides a flat 5% boost to all damage, except for the Syringer. None of the weapon modifications effect damage either, because why would they. And to make matters worse, you can’t find ammo for the Syringer, you can’t buy ammo for the Syringer, you can only craft it. The most useful syringe is the Bleed Out Syringer that does 30 damage over 10 seconds. It requires 1 fiberglass, 1 oil, and 1 steel to craft. - Hry

Funny thing is, as crappy as this is because of the fire rate and ammo scarcity, if you were to have a ton of ammo and give this thing a fire rate close to an SMG, you'd pretty much have Medic's syringe gun, which would be op.
... someone needs to make that mod.

I have a mod that can make it never ending and automatic (even when made automatic it still has a 1 mag size so its the same otherwise) it could work really well
Edit: I tested it because I was curious and its really freaking broken I took a srynger and Modded it out, made automatic, and gave it a Neverending effect issue is the bleeding srynges don't stack so its useless so then I gave it 2 legendary effects Neverending and explosive (to do actual amounts of damage) but now the syringes aren't consumed until I go to change the ammo/add more so I have an unlimited amount of explosive shots with no extra bleeding or effects from the syringes themselves
if you can use an exploit to make a pipe gun shoot nukes, then you might use that exploit to make an smg shoot syringes

No it doesn’t. Atleast on the first version which I’m forced to play it just puts items in the bench but if you want it to look neat you have to disassemble it.

The best syringe is actually the Radscorpion Venom Syringe, which does 40 damage over 30.
He could’ve used them from the rad scorpions from the Sea
Gl getting rad scorpion venom sacks
difficult to craft and while it does more damage, it takes far longer
40/30 is 1.3dps vs 30/10 or 3dps. Not worth it imo

I like how bleed out syringe doesn’t make synths bleed, but pickmans blade does, which does bleeding damage
Think that's because the syringe stops blood clots which synths don't have while Pickman's Blade is... well a serrated knife which would make much bigger wounds and nothing can resist having the fluid that keeps them running draining from them for long.

I...actually went so trigger-happy on the raiders before the Deathclaw appears in my game that I ran out of ammo and was forced to pistol-whip it to death with the mini-gun. Strength SPECIAL at 2. Took a while.

I managed to get a super sledge in Fallout 4 at level 5 and strength 3 and killed a deathclaw with it took 5 minutes :D
I won't say it's impossible, but how did you do it? The Death Claw can one shot you in power armor if you're at half health, I think
@@bradleybarnett1469 Oh, I won't pretend I didn't cheese it with the "hide in the building" trick. I also definitely died at least once (especially because the Deathclaw actually glitched into the building it's not supposed to be able to fit into a couple of times).

I feel like the damage wasn't really the main part of the syringer, right? I believe the other syringes had more utility and thus the gun was built, for utility. Not working on half the story enemies is a weird choice though.
@@followeroftheprince They should've given the player access to ammo capacity upgrades, and things like acidic or emp syringes.
@@followeroftheprince They made a game where all its utility is practically useless too.The only ones useful for support are Endangerol and Lock Joint. All the other ones just complicate the fight by bumping people between states in a game all about damage. There's no benefit to say, making an opponent afraid of you. Once they're not anymore they just run back and shoot you from behind unless you chase them which usually isn't worth it either. No, Fallout 4's combat is entirely about delivering spike damage as big and fast as possible, because debuffing enemies just means they have more time to damage you in turn.
Oh I never said it was good as a utility gun, just that the damage is in no way the focus. Actually it wouldn't be that much different a weapon if you get rid of the damage syringes, there still would be no reason to use it long.

I play this game a lot, and to this moment the only "Good" Legendary Weapon I have from a Legendary Enemy was a Rifle with 15% More Critical Damage, but most of the time they are really bad stuff.
Wow thats crazy. I always get tons of legendaries, most of them arent great though. The best one I found was a never ending combat shotgun.
I got a never ending double barrel and an explosive minigun within 20 minutes of eachother, but that's the only luck I've had with legendaries, like you, I usually get crap.

Literally everyone in the game: coursers are the most deadly, efficient, and undefeatable beings to ever walk this earth. One could dismantle an army without so much as lifting its hand. To come face to face with one means certain death.

Should have. Because they were based on Terminator and Agents from Matrix. But only in concept. In execution? It's just a cloned human. Ideal genes, perfect shape, extensive training, good equipement, but... still just a squishy human. Against a walking tank. That contains the person from whose genes said courser is made from to begin with. Gen 2 synth in advanced armor that you encounter during assault on Institute are much more dangerous. And they're actually robots.
To make Coursers menacing even with engine limitations of Gamebryo, Bethesda should have:
1)put no limit on ammount of beacons, stealthboys and stimpacks they can use;
2)allowed them to carry mentioned above version of synth armor with their trenchcoat;
3)used *unit scale 1.15*
Or they could have just followed the concept art instead.
You get minigun and power armor in first mission. You can craft minigun ammo without leaving Sanctuary thanks to water/melon/jet economy. It has to be expected that by the time we meet Kelogg and Coursers we'd stomp them.
How to do a playthrough with syringer only:
Step 1: get best power armor in game.
Step 2: gun bash everyone to death with syringer.

Some are just vague clues, some offer a different approach to a quest.
Besides the cursor I remember an alternative dialoge to deal with Skinny Malone, and a lost key for Kellogs house.
But beware, to many chems and she will die...

@@lungbutter361 That's simply not true. If you kill a synth and it doesn't have a symth component in it's head it ain't a synth or it's a bug in the game. Same thing can happen to legendary enemies where sometimes they don't drop legendar loot. All synths have a component in their head.

They only work on low level enemies.

on my first play through i got a wounding pipe pistol and the silver sub machine gun and the deliverer and grognak’s axe and i was allied to all the factions. i was the general of the minutemen, i was a brotherhood paladin, i was a railroad agent, i was the head of the institute. it was amazing. here’s how it went:
-help the minutemen
-help the brotherhood
-find the railroad
-get into the institute
-leave them for the brotherhood
-break the prydwn(i forgor how to spell) with mr identity and tinker bell
-take out the institute with the minutemen
-get the idea to do the main quest with every faction
-do
-it was extreme oh fun and annoying at the same time

I dont think theres any situations that require you to use specific weapons. I dont really count the hack tool or camera. The only issue is how fast you run out of fuel and lack of crowd control to get in close to use the drill. Otherwise it should be doable
I can say for a fact that you can beat bioshock 2 with only a drill, ive done it twice.
@@everythingsalright1121 the drill charge and plasmid that freezes enemies hit by your drill pretty much nullify the need for crowd control. The fuel is definitely an issue though. Still you can just bash with the drill when out of fuel

Surprised you didnt attempt to use the berserk syringe occasionally. Though its not as easy to get supplies for, mostly due to the bourbon, i can imagine it'd be a big help in certain occasions (though shame you cant make Kellogg attack his synth buddies)

That is not equivalent for every game, fallout 4 is the easiest to deal with (I think)
3 and NV are a bit tougher
1 and 2, just one addiction is bad that would be interesting
Fallout 4 is the best for it since you can find junkie special weapons that become more powerful with the more addictions you have

Diego Orozco fallout four as long as you use a build that doesn’t care much about stats like a rifle build it is easy. Lol I actually found that made the game easier on a run I found the junkie’s laser rifle as the damage per crank was way buffed and I actually spent ages looking for chems to get addicted to and then when I needed my stats I would just use the chems that I’m addicted to that lower the stats I need. As such my power fist alternated between two hit killing stuff like mirelurk queens and being a wet noodle when I wanted to use my gun or when I wanted to use my power first

Kellogg's frosted memories killed me!! One of my favs for sure of fallout. Besides his " Can you beat fallout without attacking anything", playthrough on New Vegas when his radroach died. Ahh good times.

That's a very specific challenge, why nettlebane?
Nettlebane is an ebony dagger from what I recall, so it's actually not the worst weapon at all.
@@MoonPatch Was about to say. I don't think it's quite Ebony stats, but it's certainly up there for an item that you can get as long as you got patience and can dodge fireballs.
