My wife ,got me a 1950 wd for my 50th birthday and I use it to plow my food plot with a 3 bottom plow (ac snap coupler ) and I use an old ford mower to mow my acreage with, best birthday present ever.

There are a lot of Young Farmers out there that don't even know how to level up a plow or start a new land! Even a head land will stump them! We have a spring plow day at a friends farm, & a lot of time is spent helping guy's level & side to side draft of there plow. It's amazing some guy's don't even change the points out when needed to.

Really!, You look at some of these plowday videos on here. I've seen some where they're pulling the plow almost sideways, I'd get a ass whoopin' for that when I was a kid on the farm.

Probably because it's understood now that plowing contributes massively to soil erosion and should be avoided when possible.

@@jwhitley101whitleyfarms9 There is no need for a plow.....its history ! Imagine the tons of soil washed away over the years ! Rather sad !

Im totally familiar with plowing ! Today......there is no need for plowing. Its a criminal act to plow a field ! An old stand of sod.....alfalfa..... spray and kill it.....plant directly into it. Regardless if you plow the sod will need to be killed ! Do it right the first time....Kill it dead ! Sod provides great aeration and root growth. Once plowed the soil structure is destroyed ! Cut the plow up for metal sales !

The great thing about AC plows is the adjustments stay with the plow, not the tractor. Hook up and start plowing, unlike a three point hitch system.

The technique used by those farmers are still used today in farming and I have to break up some ground for next years planting. I don't have much of a garden, but is going to use what I have until I can get more land cleared.

No, the 2 bottom plow tractors were WD's, the smaller ones were probably B's or C's.

      We plow 4 - 14" with our WD45s. "CA" was a 2 - 14" tractor and "WD" was a 3 -14".

It's fascinating for Africa community till now sames can't afford tractor machinery...
We are still being in small scale farming till now 2019 while our fellows liberty themselves 1950 yrs ago! this shows us how we are hopeless, dark, worse.. but we must transforming this philosophy as Africa... and I think we may do something differences and developed than them.. who ignoring us.. we must stop our bad scandal ....we better than them.
