- Hey guys... Subscribe for more! This is my first CZcams video and first time playing World of Warcraft, an 18 year old game I thought I would document the experience for a new player in 2022/23
as a veteran wow players, this honestly opened my eyes.. i've forgotten to realize that wow is a VERY Complex game, so much stuff to learn / get used to, i wish you the best of luck m8!, also if u want any sort of help just ask, not tryna backseat game or anything so i won't spit out an essay of shit to do :D
P.S. The brittish accent made this entire thing so much funnier LOL
wow is no complex game, wow is easy peasy lemon whatever, a very complex game would be crusader kings II or dwarf fortress. As far as I am concerned wow is user friendly, easy and intuitive
@@diablo.the.cheater ok thanks
Well WoW is not that complex if you have played other MMOs before and many things are still common game knowledge.
When I search my buffs and debuffs I learned to look to the top right first, when I played Warframe for the first time and saw icons in the top right corner I immediately suggested that they are buffs and debuffs and they were.
The major complexity comes for people that are completely new and just for that I keep in mind that there was a 120 pages long beginners guide back in MoP that was explaining literally every basics of wow to a new player... 120 pages!!!
Just because there is a lot to do/learn doesn't mean it's complex, it's just an mmo, you don't have to learn everything and there should be a lot of things to do to CHOOSE from. Starcraft 2 is a complex game
I love the frost nova - 180 and run away tactic. Its cool to see how a new player is experiencing world of warcraft.
Wonderful first episode! We'll be following your career with great interest.
Casts Frostbolt for the first time: “That’s cool.” 😂
I enjoyed watching you play wow. thank you for making this video. : )
As someone who has played WoW since Vanilla all the way until now, it is wild to me seeing someone new and just getting to experience it through their eyes. I'm happy to see Dragonflight pulling in new folks! It's a great experience, and despite the last few years being WoW's weaker times, it's still a very fun game and I think new players will enjoy the DF simplicity without being flooded with systems on systems they have to learn.
the game is realy big and has lots of things to do. most people would swear its all about end game contend like raids and Mythic+ or Arena and Rated pvp. but it all depends on the person what thay like to do, it could be collectin all mounts and transmog thats thair thing or even farming and making gold on the auction house.
i know im a few months late but i realy hope that @Guthick realy takes the time to look at every thing there is to do and see what he likes to do in the game.
o i also forgot some people realy like to make a lot of alts and see how fast thay can level up to max level.
"Torgok is dead - ah fuckin' hell" lol
Man's never seen a horse or a deer before! 🤣
hahaha that fkn ripped me aye "shes a horse?"
Whats this horse creature you refer to
I'm really loving how Dragonflight has given many new players the desire to finally try WoW. It's honestly the best expansion in a very long time. I'm really having a great time with it. Enjoy your journey bud!
Very cool seeing the game through the eyes of a new player.
I don't know if you want to figure out all the stuff on your own, but if you want some beginner tips i'll leave 'em down below :)
Either way, good luck on your endevors through the world of Azeroth :D
1. You can see your buffs in the top right corner (when you were moving faster for example) and you can read what they do by hovering them with the mouse.
2. You can cast your Frostbolt spell as soon as yor first cast goes off (people usually just spam the spells)
3. Usually if you have to kill something/someone, and you've entered the area the map point you to and the target is missing, it is because someone else killed it, and it will usually respawn shortly
4. you can equip items by clicking the right button on your mouse, on the item in your bag.
5. The conjure refreshments ability made the food you got in your bag (100% health and mana over 20 seconds)
Good to see a new player trying out WoW, always fun to see how new people experience it! I won't spam you with tips as I think it's more fun to figure out most of this stuff on your own, but I'll offer a tiny bit of advice just to help make your experience a little smoother:
- You can see if a spell is on cooldown by looking at it on your action bar. You'll notice that the ones on cooldown have a shaded area that slowly reduces in a clockwise-motion. Once the shaded area is completely gone, it's ready to use again. You'll also notice the hotkey number turns red if you're too far away to cast a spell.
- Some spells, like frostbolt, have a very short cooldown that is essentially instant (this very short cooldown is called the global cooldown and serves to stop you from, for example, casting 10 spells in less than a couple seconds). Arcane explosion is also a spell without a cooldown, and so if you're surrounded by enemies you may find it useful to fire off more than one. (Though keep an eye on your mana if you spam it!)
- Press 'M' to open a big version of the minimap. You can right click on this big map to zoom out to see all of the world(s).
- You can cast buffs like arcane intellect on yourself
- Play around in the interface options and edit mode (press escape to access) - you can get more action bars (some allow holding down ctrl or alt to access more spells via hotkeys, which will come in handy later down the line) so that your non-combat spells don't take up important space on your main bar.
- Always feel free to ask for help if you're confused! The newcomer chat is particularly useful for this.
Hope you have fun with the game, I'll be following along if you upload anymore :)
Good luck on your journey in Azeroth!
It's awesome seeing new players making videos and lets plays of the game. Been watching Omariorpg and Jaybtek recently who have just started playing. Nice to see a new player not playing as a hunter though lmao
Tip for choosing races: if u right-click on the race icon, u get extra information about the race and its unique abilities. Each race has their own unique abilities, that are great for different situations, depending on ur class and how u choose to play.
don't choose race based on this, choose race based how cool they look
I LOVE WoW noob playthroughs!!
It's always interresting to see how new players handel the game
Hi, new viewer here! I love this kind of videos, good luck and a better experience ;)
Very nice to see, please continue
A horse with giant antlers? City boy are you?
Had to really crank the volume up to be able to hear you.. (as compared to other videos).... May want to try playing with the levels a bit and crank them all up. (or not.... just figured I would offere a suggestion for improvement). You also have a new subscriber and I will be following the series. Nice job!
Neither the order of the alliance is light or dark they are both factions. The horde is more made up of casted nations or fallen nations such as the sin'dorei the foundations of the horde are very much explained in Warcraft 2. In Warcraft 3. Which I don't think you can play Warcraft 2 anymore. I wouldn't know how to go about that, but there is a Warcraft 3 remastered and essentially they're just too much for me to explain in the comment, but you can check out a channel called Nobel or Noble I'll go fetch a link that can explain the lore of the game. He does a good job
Nobbel87
I am glad to see a lot of new players coming to World of Warcraft and making CZcams videos about it
55 gold, you wish mate.
He aint new fs
@@cardgameenjoyer7446 I got the impression that WoW is new to him, but that he has tried an mmorpg earlier in his life.
so many people hopping on this trend, "first time playing" videos"
Drinking cookies is very popular atm, haven't you heard?
I've been playing WoW since 2005 I think off and on. Have had several accounts = build characters up to max level experiencing the content - get bored and quit. New content is added so I sub up again to see what's new. eventually get bored again and quit. rinse repeat. The key is that new content comes out and it draws me back in. I consider WoW the best mmorpg - all others strive to be WoW. I think it could go on forever if they wanted it to. But someday I guess it will die. Maybe 100 years from now, lol.
I've never fallen for the whole stigma that WoW is a bad MMO. The people who always say that are 10+ year vets who've already done everything. What changed my mind is when i showed my little niece and the amount of time she spent reading/exploring the world and loving her class really reminded me of my own first years in wow.
That free entry to wow and leveling up to 20 thing has been around forever now. More than a decade.
I remember playing for free 18 years ago with trial codes.
It’s like your drug dealer giving you a tester…
Watching your video reminded me of my first experience with wow. I was a night elf hunter back when Mists of Panderia first came out. It can be a bit confusing. To talk to a player just type /Say in your text box or you can right click their nameplate and click Whisper in the drop down menu.
Scroll that mouse wheel back a little
druid turns into a stag- "horse"
Looks like you need to check your graphics settings. They look really low quality for some reason. Nice vid btw, hope you enjoy WoW from an 18 year player!
Thanks I'm learning too
Shame you didn't read the shaman and druid classes. They are pretty interesting!
you are already more skilled then 70% of players, alot of players at endgame dont know how to interrupt
I see so many people making "first-time" videos and they all try starting from scratch without guides or watching videos. If you are reading this don't do that. The game is 19 years old and being overwhelmed and guessing does not make it more fun. I got help from friends back in 2005 and without it I would have been lost then. Do some research and I guarantee more fun.
I got paranoid seeing you not use blink to get around faster 🤭
Realms population and faction density matt we es. For example I play druid balance specialization on stormrage which is a USA server, and horde on illidan server realm for horde alt toons. Welcome to wow. Yes dragon flight is better than last expansions, and dragon gliding is a good way to get around.
are u a runescape player? 😂 asking cause of the name u picked, for guthix!
It was north and slightly east ...you went north until you were abeam of the target ....
Lol in the tutorial the sparring partner says not to run from your enemies, but you would want to kite them as a mage
"...she's a horse..."
A horse? Really?
The races have less to do with abilities although they do have racial abilities but the classes and each race can be several different classes which have their own abilities and not every race can be every class
Nice video mate , mages are very strongly but have a lot to learn .are you thinking of doing anymore ? If you are let me know if you want to play along with someone 👌
Just please consider that the game you're playing bears almost no resemblance to WoW as it should be. This is not an elitist opinion, just a simple consequence of the game's being alive since 2004. I started in 2006 before character shadows were implemented into the game and you had to install it on 4 or 5 cd-roms. I started when I was just thirteen years old and played until about 2017 (on and off), with a short-lived attempt at Classic in 2019. I barely recognise WoW anymore since even though I did play up to Legion, the peak of my experience was vanilla and TBC. Enjoy the game, but just remember that it's changed drastically--for the worse. And just to clarify this, I'm not saying this to make myself feel special, I just respect the WoW's age and the people who started years before I did. My perception of this MMORPG is bound up with my childhood and the analogue old-school RPG experience. So much nostalgia and even more regret that I lost thousands of screenshots. It was a whole other world in terms of mindset and practical engagement. Sorry for the wall of text, but I'm still rather obsessed by WoW. I've spent years trying to find footage of my first character.
have to admit, the horse getting just a tad long in the tooth.
Each realm is a server
Bro, what horse you know have antlers? 🤣😅😭
/S to talk to people /1 for general chat /2 for trade
Hehe fuck, every time I see a "first time playing World of Warcraft" the stupid kung-fu panda joke Blizzard made is immediately spotted
every noob will start with an Alliance. Night Elf or Human.
the first and biggest mistake was choosing alliance
everyone knows alliance sucks, horde is better in everything.
Noobs are always attracted towards making night elf’s lmao whenever I’m in a battleground with night elf’s I just know we’re gunna lose
