From what I gathered I think they "turned her into a cartoon" with the help of the devils she summoned. They killed the dad and 'amanda' had to live in the cartoon world so they could spread malicious ideas to kids.

It’s kind of sad when I was watching halfway and realized the game experience is somewhat similar to how I felt like when dealing with my mom, who is extremely emotionally turbulent and unpredictable. Never managed to convinced her to go to a therapist but from her behaviour I suspect she may has depression and bipolar disorder. Anws Amanda does look possessed and I find this statement funny as well, but she looks like she’s in great pain no doubt. Anws doesn’t matter, just random personal thoughts.
