I've always felt that Amy Lee had the most enchanting and angelic voice. Honestly if I imagined how an angel would sound it would be her voice, that or a sirens song.
Love this Song, too, but Lisa Gerrard is my favorite female voice, mostly unknown. But everywhere czcams.com/video/NBE-uBgtINg/video.html Don´nt try to try to translate, she mostly sings in her siblings language with her early died Sister.
If you've ever lost someone, this song hits in a complete different way. I usually play iy when I'm remembering those I've lost. It make it easier to release the pain.
Heads up: she is dead. Her feet never touch the ground. And the bandages on her ankles and wrists. She is expressing the grief of her husband as she can no longer express any emotions on her own. His words become hers.
This song was written by Amy's Bandmate Ben Moody ( The guy at the piano) when he was 17.He wrote it after losing his grandfather who helped raise him.
Awesome. I had the privilege once to hear a bootleg copy of the song from before the producers got hold of it. The original version was just the piano and Amy's vocals. GORGEOUS tune! OF COURSE, some big-company dimwit had to do their best to ruin it by slapping Rock Band instrumentation over the top of it. Lucky for them, the group was good enough that it still came out okay. That sound went on to become iconic and defined a sub-genre. Very sad that only very few people have heard the original without the extra instruments or are even aware that version ever existed.

Good reaction. You didn't interrupt the song and just enjoyed it. You saved your thoughts for after. I like that!

As a Brit, US bands have some way to go to compete, but Evanescence is a giant leap forward. Great band.

Pretty sure music is like your food. Bland
