- Green Day performing "Knowledge" (Operation Ivy cover) for the Revolution Radio tour at the Austin360 Amphitheater in Austin, Texas on September 8, 2017.I recorded the send of the song as fans got on stage to perform to make sure it was captured.
That is my daughter playing the bass. I tried to show her the guitar chords, but she is a die hard Mike Dirnt fan. She was on cloud 9 for weeks after this show. And on top of that, she got to go backstage after the show.
She didn't get the bass, but Mike gave her a "Billie Joe" mask that he used when they played 'Kings for a Day'.

Funny thing, they started that in the early 2000s... I've seen them in '95, they just went onstage, gave us the finger (ironically 🙂) & pushed one song after another. Raw & powerful.
It's "nice" now, I guess. But a little bit too much fan service and "Disney" feeling.

I’m so glad this is here. I pull it up from time to time. She is away at college now, so it is a good memory to revisit.
We had tickets to the Green Day concert this past summer, circumstances out of our control made us miss the show, but we will catch them the next time. Hopefully she can get to play again.
