Beast ( Now Highlight) was the first kpop group I knew or listened to..There music is so nostalgic to me..specially fiction(❤ that song) and Ribbon being so emotional.. I miss the time I listened to them..😊
So nostalgic. Their early era is such a representative sound for kpop around 2010 and it brings me back! And of course "Fiction" being one of the biggest kpop releases ever as far as impact and renown -- what's more, coming from a non-Big 3 company!! Groups like Beast, Infinite, and the sadly somewhat forgotten Teen Top were really making history in the industry in this era.

Hyunseung was supposed to be in Bigbang, Dojoon was supposed to be in 2PM, Junyoung (which we all hate now), was an ex-idol rapper from another group that disbanded, Yoseob and Kikwang were backup dancers for other idols and were in JYP and SM before being cut from other groups, Kikwang was also a failed solo idol debut idol AJ, and Dowoon was just a few months trainee when they debuted Beast/B2st. They were known as the "recycled" idols back then because of their status as unknown, rejected trainees, but now we know how these groups kinda did themselves dirty without passing them. They rose to popularity with Shock, but they were known for their intense rivalry with MBLAQ, Rain's group.
