I’ve worn cotton tube socks since I was a kid in the 70’s and in the last couple of decades only bought Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. A few years ago I unassumingly bought a new pack and the moment I put them on they felt like cold plastic. I have been hoarding four unopened packs of FotL Work Gear socks, which are over 70% cotton, and now they’re becoming impossible to find. They switched to polyester because it’s a petroleum byproduct and pennies compared to cotton.
I'm having a hard time finding hanes ultimate comfortblend over the calf socks or comparable. I even called Hanes spoke to supervisors with no solutions.
i put those new socks onto dirty feet... felt really thin and cold and wet... after few hours i stuck em back in the package and returned them ... didnt even wash them. Fuck walmart !

Polyester is breathable as long as it has the same amount of polyester and cotton
Have you ever thought about just going to the booties, short socks rule homie. Haven't worn long socks since the 80's

The pair I'm wearing right now came off a sleeping homeless kid . 😴 he couldn't use them, he didn't even have shoes.
