On this video I'm with my brother Drew. We hunted some public land close to the house. It was a very slow day but we made the most of it. Drew even got a chance to harvest a Goldeneye!

Glad y’all shooting a few. Up here in central Louisiana I have several buddies who duck hunt and they told me a few days ago they haven’t shot 20 times all year and they hunt daily

Yeah man the hurricane wrecked that area. We made a hunt very close to that spot the other day and did well. The tree itself didn’t have any ducks by it. Maybe next year!

Chicken pot pie ok yeah it fills the belly and keeps me out on the hunt longer. Gotta admit its better than mustard sardines and boiled eggs.
Simple paddle in hunts are still my favorite just pure and peaceful!
It’s been a weird season man. We finally get to hunt late January, we finally got a couple good cold fronts and still no ducks. 🤷🏻♂️. Still love being in the blind though.

Went hunting in bamberg SC and killed a hen golden eye in a farm pond usually people don’t really kill that many golden eyes except for on the coast they kill a couple but it’s almost unheard of to kill one in a farm pond in SC
Your brother loves some Marie Calendar’s chicken pot pie, lol. That’s great you got out with your brother and got into some ducks. We don’t have many ducks where I live, but we do have some doves. I got to dove hunt with my brother a couple times this year. We had a blast, although I could have shot better. He’d always tell me there’s no one else he’d rather hunt with. Makes those days afield real special. Thanks for another great video. If that one tree is still under water, will we see any videos this year from it? Lots of dos grois there.
Thank you for the kind words! I love getting to hunt with my brother, it’s always special. The tree is just fine, still standing after the hurricane! Unfortunately someone built a boat blind right in front of it after watching the videos from last year so I’m not able to hunt it. We did however have an incredible hunt yesterday hunting from a layout boat in the same area as the tree. Can’t wait to share that one with you!
Dang that really sucks I’ve been hoping to see the tree all year. Those were some of my favorites

Now you see what I been fighting with up hear trying to get my son on some ducks this year even with the cold fronts that’s pushed through we just haven’t had any good numbers around do you do goose hunting in February and into March

Enjoyed the marsh hunt.Growing up "economically challenged" chick pot pies were a treat for us. Man, I hated to hear about the situation at the tree. I hope that changes in the future and we can get back to shooting some Cans and Doies Greis again.
