- This was beyond stuck. The auger couldn’t turn at all. The area that was accessible at the bottom of the hopper was like concrete. I used a knife to free what I could and a wet dry vacuum to vacuum it up. The stuff in the auger tube was the same but not accessible so I decided to take a torch to the outside of it to get rid of any moisture and hopefully burn whatever was in there. It worked!
Thanks for this video! I watched several videos on taking everything apart and then found this and decided to try it on my GMG. It worked like a charm in under 5 minutes!
Like watching a drain be cleared. This is so satisfying to watch
nice work. thanks for sharing. got the same issue. working on now. pray for the same result!
Awesome!! It worked on my GMG!!
This worked great! Thanks for the upload!
Great video on how to unjam the auger! Mine is caked up bad due to a rain recently. I even had a tarp over it. Right before Thanksgiving, SMH!!!!
Worked for me!! Thank you so much!!
I've had my GMG DB for over 15 years, and it's been good until just recently. I live in a humid climate and have to clear the auger tube every so often also. I just started having issues with the control panel. The buttons don't work properly, and the auger won't turn after going through the startup. I think its time for a new grill, but im not buying another GMG. I've heard from a lot of folks that their quality has really gone down.
Dang, can't do this on a Cuisinart woodcreek
What king of pellets did you use? Traeger? Looks like the Pellets were a little wet as well...
