i prefer an ai resort for a number of reasons.
i have teens and they like to eat and are always thirsty.
id rather pay a bit more upfront and not have to worry about calculating and walking with my wallet.
when going to ja, i visit family early into the trip so i can have the rest of the time for some proper rest and relaxation and leave the resort as little as possible.
when we stayed at an airbnb, there were many trips to the grocery store along with eating out at restaurant's, and without a car, the taxi fare adds up. also, when it was time to leave, we had alot of leftover food items that had to be wasted.
i say all this to say.....All Inclusive for me!
heading to decamoran, cornwall and riu, negril next and looking forward to it as ive nvr been to either before.
thanks and keep up the good reviews!

@@ShenLG the break down of costs and how sometimes we don't look at overheads just the introductory cost because you're right food affi eat and if it's a hotel with no entertainment u will have to go a road... now with interesting part is when you add a list of these all inclusive steals

I've noticed at a lot of all inclusive amenities close outdoor pools and bars at like 5pm? Im a night owl and if Im paying for amenities I want them to be open?! any suggestions? and the overhead cost for all inclusive vs non all inclusive? i feel they charge you a lot more, then they feed you grilled cheese sandwiches and cheap drinks?!

Well depends on the hotel , however if you were total the cost for food, drink and room at a non all inclusive, you will notice it adds up. Therefore our suggestion is a ‘Budget’ all inclusive hotel.

@@ShenLG The Holiday Inn seemed great, I wish it had better food though, and Ocean Eden Bay, was way too big, and no people were there, and do they offer any excursions? That place from what I've seen is way to big, I want something smaller and more intimate?! I want pool, ocean and a couple good restaurants and late night service by pool, nightlife?! Fun Vibe

Late night service by the pool might be hard to come by but for somewhere smaller and more intimate maybe Hilton Rose Hall. They also do offer most of their night time shows by the pool if that helps.
