I think Simon having a son changed his heart. I know it changed mine immensely.
Simon has become an inspiration since he changed the way he gives feedback to the contestants. That's a real judge: strict, fair, and empathetic.

Seeing this audition for Jonathan and watching him blossom into who he is now is truly inspiring. Charlotte was his emotional support on stage that day for sure.

I want to see more of this living legend Pavarotti voice from Jonathan. He needs memory skills and once he gets that, the world is his oyster. Same for Charlotte. When he breaks barriers she gains experiences alike.

Can't stand the pair. Lost all respect I had for these two when I found out what they did to the Byker Grove tapes.... just so that their fans of today wouldn't embarrass them. But as child actors they were goof now they are pathetic
I'm a ROCK guy, but something about an exceptional opera singer like Jonathan is just sends waves of tingles down your back. Charlotte is good, too... just not as stand-out as him. They inevitably had to split, but they were good for and needed each other here to get started. This was a debut I'll never forget.

Jonathan's voice is 10x better, looks like a billion dollars, has a huge international fan base, now lives in Los Angeles, CA, and he's all over YT. There you'll discover some of his wonderful performances...oops!...musical gems. Yes, he's simply the best and will put a huge smile on your face. And he's still humble. Best wishes & stay safe. Man, watching Simon here, and watching Simon now, he has really changed over the years. In a good way. He's really lightened up and mellowed out.

I do not understand most people's lack of empathy for a soul friend to be left behind. That soul helped you climb the ladder of stardom. Of course you shall find a place for that special friend in your growing success. It is the right thing to do.

Simon found his smile! He was once so snide and abrasive, from that 1st season of Idol on... Impossible to forget someone so naturally unforgiving! Now, a total transformation! His smile is infectious! Often, I enjoy his reaction even more than an act itself!

Americans loved Simon's snide remarks on the Idol....some of those acts were a joke. And some just never were going to be ready for prime time.

Jonathan Antoine, now 26 years old, is an amazing artist. Hearing him live in concert is a wonderful experience, cannot wait for his tour being rescheduled for later 2021.

It took him a while, but Jonathan has quite a good career going now. He and Charlotte had to part ways as she is more a show tune singer, and Jonathan is obviously a concert tenor. As good as they were together, after more training she was ready for more, while Jonathan needed more time to find himself. He has some good stuff up on YT.
I loved them too! So glad for the loyalty that had Jonathan saying they'll stay together to perform.
That young lady dancing with her dog was the sweetest KOOLEST thing I've seen all year. The innocence in that was beautiful and the choreography. Just awesome. VERY WELL DONE. WHAT A SMART GIRL AND BESTIE DOG. MY BESTIE WAS NAMED FRISKY.
I want to see their other presentation. I loved Jonathan and Charlotte.

I'm so glad Simon has realized he needs to not judge a book by its cover. He didn't even give this kid a chance at 1st. It was written all over his face. And fir someone who claims to hate bullying....this was a silent way of bullying. These are the years I didn't like Simon so much. But he's come a long way. I think fatherhood softened him. Now he's constructive without hatefulness. He's always on point.
Jonathon was fabulously talented. And has a kind heart, too.

The shy young man and the young lady are great.
Hearing the judges reactions and how they lift up some of these contestants is almost just as amazing as a 12-year-old getting up on a stage in front of thousands of people and knocking it out of the park

24:57 Simon just proves to me over and over that he's a big man. Not only that he fixed what he said to the girl, but he also gave the guy a huge boost of confidence. By saying what he said, he insured the girl won't turn on him in the future and only strengthened their relationship.

As for Charlotte and Jonathan? My heart goes out to them both, such a lovely duo, great voices the two of them in their different disciplines and both lovely people in the way they supported each other, Jonathon for sticking with Charlotte and then at the end Charlotte for saying that it was a life changing moment for Jonathon, inferring it may not be for her and that she wouldn’t hold him back and would still support him. Soft souls both of them, I really hope they are both doing well.

May be because I´m not english and can´t hear the difference between all the accents, but when I heard the second one talking, she reminded me so much of Diana. Her voice, how calmly she spoke. I could listen to it for forever.

I watch Jonathan he found his life and Simon was right Johnathan went on by himself.

Not quite, he sings on his own and he still sings with her. He now is worth about 10million and she is worth about 1.5 million so she may not have as high a career as him but she hasn't done badly. Bet she never thought she would make that much money.

Charlotte Jaconelli and Jonathan Antoine's BGT audition was back in 2012. Simon signed them both with his Syco record label for One million British pounds. They did 2 albums and a tour together, then SONY offered them each a Solo Contract. Charlotte's album was released first. After, She Decided to Return to Music Arts School and Graduate. She now has a successful career in Musical Theatre, which was always her dream and has performed in London's West End! Both are doing what they love. Placido Domingo invited Jonathan to be his Special Guest for the Global itunes Festival when he was just 19 years old. Jonathan's Sold Out 2019 Toronto concerts were filmed for American PBS TV. Many video's from those concerts are here on You Tube, Compass, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Summertime, Moon River, Caruso, Baby Mine and more. His music videos of "Amazing Grace/Grazia" and "These Are the Special Times/Momenti Splendi"(A Best Music Video Award winner) are Both Beautiful to Watch and Listen to. "Io Si/Seen" music video is per Grammy award winning composer Diane Warren's request! BEAUTIFUL!!! It debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart, as did his recent CD "Christmasland Platinum Edition" which contains the Beautiful "Caro Gesu Bambino" "Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle" "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy"(He sings both parts) and "Silent Night/Stille Nacht" sung in both English and original German.
