    Villa Park, Birmingham. Preston North End beat Swansea City 2-1 in FA Cup Semi-Final football tie.
    SV The toss up. GV Crowd. GV The kick off. LV Swansea attack down the middle. The ball is centred and Thomas jumps and heads the ball but it just goes wide. SV Swansea supporters. GV Swansea attacking. A Swansea forward is tripped right on the edge of the penalty area. He goes down and slides on his behind nearly into the goal. CU Threatening supporters. LV Swansea player takes free kick. But it's deflected by a defender and just goes past the post. CU Boy in crowd. GV Preston attacking. Alec Ashworth runs onto loose ball and takes a shot. Keeper Dwyer just pushes it round to corner. SV Crowd. GV As the corner comes in, Preston player takes several shots but gets nowhere. CU Man in crowd. GV Swansea attacking. Keeper Alan Kelly punches clear and the ball goes to Jimmy McLaughlin who runs and shoots and the ball goes into the net for Swansea's goal. Pan as players congratulate each other. GV Crowd at half time. GV Preston attacking. LV ditto. As Swansea defenders clear. CU Man in crowd. GV Preston attacking. The ball comes into the middle and is half cleared by the defence. GV As Swansea player fouls a Preston forward and referee awards penalty. CU Boy in crowd. GV As Dawson takes the penalty and the ball goes into the net, for Preston's first goal. LV Crowd cheering. GV Swansea attack. A forward tries a shot but it goes wide. CU Boy in crowd. GV Swansea attack again but the Preston defence clears up field. SV Girl in crowd. GV Preston attacking. The ball is headed back and forth several times. In the Swansea goal mouth. GV As the ball goes into a crowd of players and is passed to Singleton who shoots first time and the ball goes into the net for Preston's second goal. LV Players congratulating Tony Singleton. TS Crowd cheering. GV Swansea attacking. Preston keeper Kelly saves, runs to clear the ball and is knocked off his feet by Swansea forward. Immediately players start throwing punches.     Very rare view indeed at the start of the old original Witton Lane Stand
    which was then demolished and rebuilt two years later for the 1966 World Cup.

    Swansea have never since reached the FA Cup semi final, although they did win the 2012-2013 League Cup by beating Bradford City 5-0 at Wembley.
