  • I get asked a lot about what is the best beginner optic to get into night hunting for predator and hogs without having to spend thousands of dollars? Well the answer I always give is the Sightmark Wraith HD. I have recommended it to lots of friends that wanted to get into night hunting but didn't have the budge for thermal and they have all loved it just like I do.
Check out this video to hear why I think the Sightmark Wraith HD is the best beginner optic and learn all out its specs and features. This digital daytime and night vision optic is the cost of a standard quality day time optic but also gives you the ability to hunt at night with night vision! This is definitely a great upgrade for those looking to ditch the red light and upgrade to night vision.

I just bought a Wraith 4K Max, soon to be installed a AR10 .308. Nice video. Sight Mark is selling Wraith 4K max @ $499 and they are $799 everywhere else.

I'm considering getting one in the next two weeks. Every since I had LASIK, any traditional scope is impossible for me to use...this seems like a great alternative.
Just mounting it on a Kriss Vector. How are you liking it? How clear is the daytime view ( I'll never use the night vision )🤔??

@@iwonderifthisislegalmay I ask you to elaborate why lasik made using traditional optics challenging for you? Is it just due to the healing period or something more serious? I’ve been considering this procedure for a while, still unsure

@@MKemp-dr4xe it sounds silly but, it made how I used to see completely different. Clarity is amazing especially far away..... But how I see up close now is different. So having the glass of a scope so close to my eye while trying to sight in the back lens is just off. It is by far, the best surgery I've ever had... So definitely go for it. But, everything is just different. The healing process is more scary than anything else...... Because you're so afraid to do things you used to do like rub your eyes ( they'll warn you about doing this for the first 6 months ).
I will also add though, I am a video engineer by trade. So having something like a miniature video monitor for me to sight in rifles would be awesome. And it would alleviate the hassle of what I'm dealing with now🤓.

Do you know if the auto low light under settings should be on or off?

You can see very easily out to 300 yd. A ten inch steel target if you adjust the I r light properly. You're not doing something right if you can only see up to a hundred and fifty yards.

Is there a 4k digital day/night scope in the $1000 range that is not as heavy/bulky you would recommend?

Yes sir. The Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini is another great optic at $700, I’ll be doing a review on that one here in a couple weeks. Small and compact! And great image quality.
There some from AGM and Pulsar as well that are in the HD image quality but not 4K. Remember these are my opinions there are other brands that may have 4K but I review the ones I feel are great companies and good quality optics.

Just know the 4K Mini’s IR illuminator has to be mounted on a rifle separately, as there is no room on the scope itself. I mounted mine on the left side of the hand grip on front of my rifle using a small picatinny rail I purchased
