Do you mean the suspension setup?
If so, the removal will change the setup minimally, as the weight distribution will change accordingly.
The battery is installed in the video, as you can see on the switched on display on the top tube :-)

With the JAM² SL you can choose whether you want to drive with or without a battery. If you would like to leave out the battery for the bike park, you are welcome to do so. The motor has almost barely noticeable resistance. This is also written down again in the FAQs.
