Answered lots of questions I've had about working with wool, especially quilting around appliqued pieces, fabrics choices for backgrounds. Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilts. All gorgeous, but the Heirloom Rose was stunning!
I’m in love with ALL of them! Especially the one hanging on your wall- the black background and reds have my mouth watering 🤤 it’s just gorgeous!! I want to make it so badly!
Such valuable Information and you answered any questions I might have had. Thank you so much, Lisa ! Your quilts are stunning works of art and a for sure treasure.
Question for you Lisa… How do I wash a wool quilted appliqués that are done with cotton backgrounds I did your warm winter wishes. Absolutely love it but I have not washed it yet Most of my quilts I just wash in the machine on gentle and throw in the dryer Thank you
I have just bumped into this channel, how wonderful! I'm trying to quilt fleece just at the moment, for a men's jacket. I'm doing an awful job, I have to admit. The fleece crawls, and I've basted the sides, but not the middle, and of course, it is just wrapping itself in knots. I've got to rip out all of my previous progress, sigh. I don't suppose you have any tips for these awkward fabrics? I'm going to hand baste for a start.
I love the feel of the needle passing through the wool.

Hi Brenda
Lisa the wool on flannel behind you on the wall is this pattern still available?

That’s a really good question- I was wondering... did you figure it out?
@@silvergirl7810 I had to hand baste the whole thing, with long lines of huge stitches. It worked really well in the end.
Dr Helen Loney thanks- glad you figured it out- it always comes down to that basting doesn’t it
You made that 20 yrs ago?? Was you 6 yrs old ??
