    Question for you Lisa…
    How do I wash a wool quilted appliqués that are done with cotton backgrounds
    I did your warm winter wishes. Absolutely love it but I have not washed it yet
    Most of my quilts I just wash in the machine on gentle and throw in the dryer
    Thank you

    I have just bumped into this channel, how wonderful! I'm trying to quilt fleece just at the moment, for a men's jacket. I'm doing an awful job, I have to admit. The fleece crawls, and I've basted the sides, but not the middle, and of course, it is just wrapping itself in knots. I've got to rip out all of my previous progress, sigh. I don't suppose you have any tips for these awkward fabrics? I'm going to hand baste for a start.

    • @silvergirl7810
      @silvergirl7810 Před 3 lety +1

      That’s a really good question- I was wondering... did you figure it out?

    • @drhelenloney1426
      @drhelenloney1426 Před 3 lety

      @@silvergirl7810 I had to hand baste the whole thing, with long lines of huge stitches. It worked really well in the end.

    • @silvergirl7810
      @silvergirl7810 Před 3 lety

      Dr Helen Loney thanks- glad you figured it out- it always comes down to that basting doesn’t it
