    Adapting on the fly is always difficult. Great recovery and thanks for letting us watch how you solved the problem you faced.

    Thanks for your video. I'm looking forward to the second part. You do very good turning work. Success and health.

    The first bowl is beautiful in form and both your turning and your teaching are of the highest order. We've all had bowls that turned out bigger on the inside than they were on the outside. It is nice that you showed us one of yours. How one should progress from such a failure is another topic. You certainly show that it is nearly impossible to make a design that is comprehensively integrated from parts of another project. I've often left my similar problem pieces on the shelf in the shop for a few months waiting for inspiration. Often it is a "catch all" container in the shop. Occasionally not.
    Glad you share with us
    John

    That's going to look very interesting and I'm really liking the form and detail you're including.

      Thank you Jay, not what I had in mind as the lid had mind of its own and problems but manage to save it .... there will be second version as well 😀

    Thanks for showing this. It's always helpful to see how people deal with things that don't turn out as planned. This looks like an interesting way to solve the problem you encountered. It was kind of a weird feeling watching this while we knew what was going to happen at the the end but you did not yet know it while you were making the outside of the lid. Looking forward to Part 2

      Indeed, on this there were mistakes and bad luck but that happens to all of us , but manage to save the lid , its not pretty but I'll do another version as well soon😉

    Unusual, but clever use of funnel. I'll have to try something like that next time I funnel something. Thanks for sharing!

    Really like where you are going with this. Not sure about the bowl inside the lid though. But with the base/handle that you’re going to add it begins to make more sense. Love it.

    As a long standing member of the funnel club I liked the way you dealt with the hole. I've turned inserts to fill the gap in the past. BTW is that 10mm spindle gouge with the green ferrule a Record Power one?

    • @_Egor_Egorov_
      @_Egor_Egorov_ Před 10 měsíci +1

      YES - Record Power (14:29). Manufacturers of other cutters use a different color. The sharpening angle of this cutter is approximately 50-55 degrees.

      It is, is ok, likes to vibrate a tiny bit more then others but good detail tool.... I have this one around 30degrees bevel
