I love the locking needles. That’s what I use for my port but I don’t know what brand mine is. I’d have to look. But, I also go straight in. Someone told me a different way and the way they did it HURT, even with numbing cream I put on. I go straight in and it just hurts like a pin prick. I don’t always use numbing cream. Thank you that I’ve done it right where there is very little pain.

There are different types/brands of Port needles and some are safety needles.
You anchor/ hold port under skin while you de-access needle by physicallly pulling needle straight out away from chest/Port.
