Hearing him scream “I love black people” is equally hilarious and adorable
Tom cruise should have done more drama films like these like I mean I love action projects but movies like this actually showcase the talent of an actor just like it did for Tom cruise
I agree, but we both know that action films are where the money is and Cruise is currently focused on those kinds of films
@@AOMVideoProductions plus I think he just enjoys the stunts.
Vanila Sky
Yes...like this or "A Few Good Men"..... he would already have an oscar
Why did he get fired?
*I never get tired of this scene.*
I miss when regular movies like these were big at the box office.
100% agree!
Yes. Enough with the stupid comic book characters.
There is no artistry with movies shot behind a green screen.
Why you so racist / sexist? /s
You can thank comic book movies
I really like the Tom Cruise movies where he acted and played relatable characters. He doesn’t have to shoot himself out of a cannon to be great.
He had to rebrand himself after Hollywood tried to blackball him for being a Scientologist and talking out against pharma
So true.
That “Hello brother Maguire” from Tee Pee must be the smoothest delivery in film history 🤣🤣
7:49
“SHOOOOOW ME THE MOOOOONEEEEEEYYY!!!!!”
- *Jerry Maguire, 1996*
When Jarry yells "show me the money" because Rod asks him to, he was hesitant first. The yelling comes from the fact that he has nothing to lose (his pride and all) and Rod is everything he got. The whole point of this scene, for me, is to show how desperate Jarry is, in order to carry on what he is most passionate about. His ambition, hope in this cruel business are cold-heartedly betrayed by his own people including his lover. This scene is felt so strongly because even though he is on the very verge of falling, he is grabbing onto the cliff as hard as he can. This, is what I call, a true persistence. And I think this is why I keep coming back to this scene every once in a while. To be reminded of what a true persistence is.
Out of all the movies I've ever seen, Cuba Gooding Jr.'s scene is by far my favorite ever. He's such an amazing actor.
watching him in his debut Boyz N The Hood I'm not surprised he became so successful. Such a great actor.
Men of Honor!!!!
7:45 that’s the one that kills me every single time
“Show me the moNEYYYY!!!!” lmfao
7:49-7:55 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cuban jr killed this scene.
No wonder he won an Oscar for that
Rod OWNS Jerry in this scene. It’s so good!
My real estate agent and I yell "show me the money" to each other frequently. It never gets old.
But do you love black people?
7:10: Cruise's eyes moving around as he tries to make sense of what he's hearing is hilarious. 😆
The movie is called Jerry Maguire, but Tidwell's self-worth and personal mission of getting the money for his family, while the other athletes wanted money and fame, is what made Jerry Maguire
i dont see much difference imo....these people probably all want the same things too, difference is they just lie to themselves or tell u they are doing it for a more ":altruistic" reason.
@@jont2576 who hurt you lol💀
@@Priapus212 lol show me the moneeeeeeeeeeeeeey
Maguire changes Tidwell too though. Look at the beginning, Tidwell is a "small name big ego" type of person. By the end of the film, he is behaving more professional.
7:00 "SHOW ME THE MONEY" The Most Iconic Line.
*_"I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE !!!"_* 🤣🤣
The kid responding to Rod is one of the small things that make movies more realistic.
Rod was the best thing that happened to Jerry just like Jerry was the best thing that happened to Rod
Wonderful Dynamite Team!!
🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
They were the next best thing to sliced bread!
they dont make movies like these anymore.....humanistic films about people who come into ur lives and make a difference, like rain man, or one flew over the cuckoo's nest....amelie.....madame doubtfire etc......nowadays its all marvel or dc or disney crap.
This movie is so wholesome because of their relationship and his relationship with Dorothy and her son
"I hear what you're saying daddy!" 🤣
That’s Aries Spears dancing with Cuba Gooding Jr, just realized.
"I'm MISTER black people!" is such a funny, underrated line of his
That part was killing me 🤣
If Tom Cruise is MISTER Black People, then I'm MR. Fun Guy.
@@jacobmaverickbueller.671 HELL YEAH!!!
A white guy telling a black guy about another white guy not knowing about black about people.
What an awesome story. Characters growth arcs and friendship. Drama and comedy. The cinematography in this scene alone is subtly outstanding.
Lies again? CG Face Ugly Blondes
Tom Cruise was funny in that movie. He need more funny roles like that . He was hilarious man!
Yeah and Tropic Thunder happened too lol
@@notahamster333 his best role ever
@@notahamster333 U beat me to it XD
this isnt funny but a dramatic situation........wonderful scene in cinema!!
@@nicedoppy2077it’s fucking hilarious, what are you on about? This scene is the definition of comic relief after the intense dramatic scene when he gets fired.
Cuba Gooding Jr. 👏👏👏
I fell asleep one night while watching this. In the dream Tom Cruise is yelling these words during his Oscar speech! I guess I began to laugh or something because I immediately woke up with a smile.
I just realized, Tom Cruise plays Jerry Maguire perfectly! Tom and Jerry!
Jokes aside, I really liked Tom Cruise in this film, not that I don't like his action movies (true I don't like them, I love them!), but we get to focus more on his emotions expressiveness. He was charging with fuel holding on to Rod like the last line of hope and continued with that passion throughout the whole movie!
Tom and Jerry 🤣
You got me Tom & Jerry😂
The moral of the story, it’s not about quantity it’s about quality.
no, it's about the quan
@@whitedevil2
Nah, it’s about quality really!!!!
@@anactaneustheeleventh2542 missed the reference much
It's also about honesty & integrity..
"Jerry, muh hou is fallen apah!", LOL!
And this is why Tom Cruise is still the greatest actor in box office history
bit of a stretch, but each to their own
Lol the way Rod led Jerry to the building up of 'show me the money' was gold!
Great acting from Cuba and Tom👊🏿
💜🤠💜
💜🤠💜
Flawless
The way he throws the phone afterwards is hilarious. He is done with this shit! 🤣
Cuba is so fucking funny in this scene where he pauses the music to say show me the money before bouncing hahahaha
Someone on the comment section commented that Tom Cruise seem to not do drama movies like these. Maybe he haven't seen Rain Man, The Last Samurai, A Few Good Men, The Firm, Jerry Maguire, Valkyrie, Eyes Wide Shut, Collateral, All The Right Moves, Lions for Lambs, and Born on the fourth of July.
He did star on complex roles not just action flicks. He's good at everything he do, he's just always getting snubbed by the Academy.
Just posting to add Vanilla Sky to this list...
@@kosherun yeah! I forgot! Thank you
7:08 "Show Me the Money" is One of the Most Famous Quote of All Time.
After "ungrateful" before Jay Mohr cuts him off he also refers to him as "unctuous," which I find a very fitting description.
Probably the most iconic scene in Tom Cruises career.
maybe if he hadnt descended from a cable between laser beams :)
In my opinion, questioning Jack Nicholson if he ordered Code Red wins now and forever ;)
@@barteksulik2529 "I want the truth!"
Nah its great but a few good man courtscenes tops it for Cruise
He’s had many. Arguably the biggest movie star of all time
Love Tom as an action hero. However, he should do more movies like this. Jerry Maguire is an amazing film...YOU KNOW?
This scene was just too funny 🤣
One of the greatest scenes in movie history
And this ladies and gentlemen, this is the most annoying comment of every movie comment.
No it isn't lolz
assuming you watched every movie ever made ...lol
@@issiewizzie don't need to to know it is :D
*Took the words right out of my mouth.*
I can relate to this scene. I used to sell cars for my creep brother-in-law. He hated me and turned the sales staff against me. Tried to make it hell for me and tried to make me quit for a year. Changed my pay contract to make it impossible for me to succeed. Fired me in the middle of a car deal because I beat him at his own game and used the stipulations he put on me against him. My customer walked out because she didn’t want to buy from anyone else but me. They gave all my clients to another couple creeps from my hometown. Wish I could have stuck it to him like this 🤷♂️ lol. I left the business and saved my soul though.
So much for the "blood is thicker than water" family bullshit. Thank God u got out of there alive
Burn his car lot down.
That some pretty BS of your brother in law hopefully you'll succeed just fine without him
Jay Mohr…just everyone in this movie was ON FIRE. Tom should have won the Oscar, but I don’t remember who he lost to.
Actor: Geoffrey Rush
Role: David Helfgott

I really love a great film like that.
I. Think TOM CRUISE. AND. CUBA GOODING JR. REALLY. PULLED IT OFF. IN THIS. MOVIE AWSOME. JOB U2. HAPPY. 4 U 😃😃😃😃😃😃
These non action movie of Tom Cruise are so good and intense enough emotionally. He really is a good actor without the action movie drama.
When he concedes the hello to TP, you know he's all in for Rod.
I'm just here to figure out if someone else did a good Tom Cruise impression. But it's funny where he calls her again to see if she's really crying and the cute kid says, "I hear what you're saying Daddy"
Poor Jerry🤣
To this day, I'm STILL hoping Jerry throws that glass of water in Bob Sugar's grid!
best film tom has ever done. brillaint story written purfectly.
Trump " i am the terminator"😂😂😂
this, risky business, rainman, representing the american illusion dream of that good old 80s and 90s. That era of Tom Cruise is like 07-09 Bron in Cavs
Life can be stressful at times sometimes it's good to release negative energy with some positive energy.......Thomas played a great role in this film.......I bet this movie made some brainstorm......My favorite quote from this movie is "show me the money"..........🥂💓🤺🌹
Funniest scene ever!!! Everyone throws shade at Tom Cruise but ma boy keeps hiitin' them tape-measure-taters out of the park!!!
Just show me the money, yeah!
That scene is Gold
,,SHOW ME THE MONEY!!"
as a kid in the 90s adults would sometimes start screaming this and I had no idea why
Whoa,Tom Cruise when he was still young!
4:06 is that Linnie from Home Alone
Tom Cruise is GOAT🐐
Every shot Cuba Gooding jr. He has like a lens flare on him 😂
Amazing scene!!!
Great movie!

Solid movie. Saw this during lockdown
One of the best movie scenes ever..
Great Soundtrack. Here we have Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac but I love the way he chose Free Fallin on radio...
The late 90s were so so awesome

7:49 Lmao 😅😂🤣
Iconic
The recent Tom Cruise's carreer made us kind of forget how good he is at playing dramas (watch Magnolia again).
OMG ROLF, this is so hilarious! 🤣 For all that Tom Cruise gets a bad wrap, he does seem to be willing to take the piss out of himself! Lol! Great scene! 😂
When Tom commits to comedy, he is hilarious. XD
This scene is fantastic.
Classic movie 👌
I've never actually seen this movie. Now I have to see it
It will worth your while
It was the best scene 😆😆😆😆😆
OG loc!!!
Just look at Regina King, another talented African American actress, I remembered her from “Higher Learning”. Cuba Gooding Jr. is larger than life as always and Tom is still a “jackpot” for Hollywood.
best tom cruise movie ever
Excellent bro. ..
Fun Fact: Christian Bale said in an interview that he took admiration from Tom Cruise to act as Patrick Bateman.
The way Cuba talks when bitching about stuff reminds me of OG Loc
From there on lots of people start saying for years “Show me the money”.
EVERYBODY knows a Bob Sugar during their lifetime!
One of the great scenes in cinematic history
Tom Cruise is really good.
😂😂
LEGENDARY 😂
😂 real talk though (classic)
Just the good ones at the end everyone we are brothers
