I love curls!!! Curls make my locs look fuller and curls are perfect when you don't want to retwist. I use to curl my locs with pipe cleaners but they hurt to much. I now love foam rollers.

Just watched a video where a lady dipped the foam rollers in a lotta body & water solution before she rolled and her curls stayed! If you’re having an issue with them staying try dipping the rollers first. Looks amazing btw I never thought about curling dreads
I love those curls! If you have longer locs one thing you can do is start rolling from the top. That way once the wrapping gets too thick then you could add a second (and sometimes third, depending) roller onto the remaining hair
I bought $1 rollers and made my own satin cover. Just measure the diameter of the roller, sew a long satin tube and then cut that long strip to size of rollers. Lastly, add to your rollers. The reason I made my own is because I needed all jumbo rollers, my hair is super extra long and high density.
Foam are the only rollers I use now, I love the curls and they are so easy to roll with.
You might what to try looking for them with satin fabric on them I found my at Walmart.
This reminded me that once upon a time I had sponge rollers with a smooth finish (don't know what the material was) which I loved! Now I'm on the hunt...
Yessss Desire this is my go to for curls. I just curled mine 2 weeks ago and my curls are still poppin. I love how they look in the beginning and even towards the end when they start dropping and looking like a loose wave. I can wear them for 3 or more weeks. I love it and I love YOU!!!!
Great look. I appreciate this video as a reminder to use those sponge rollers. You are correct in saying that putting them in could be difficult, but the result is wonderful curls.
I did the foam rollers with my starter locs it helped with the unraveling and the frizz...the video makes me wanna revisit them.

I may try those foam rollers. I did curls/waves for the first time last week and the waves lasted the while week. I used flexi rods. Next time I'll try another older method and curling with pieces of cloth. Whatever is going to be easiest to sleep in will probably be my go to for curls.

For a quick style when I also want to sleep well, I'll go for ribbon curls. For a more uniform look, I'll go with curls.

Yes that’s the perfect way, all you need are a few Bobby pins, tuck the curls in and pin them . So excited for you, they are going to come out so beautifully!

With my 1st set of locs I used soft spikes to get my curls. Bought them 10 years ago and they haven't let me down. Have different sizes for different lengths.
I do like sponge rollers too! I can't wait for this set of locs to be long enough to do curls again!
