Why don't you tell the truth about how the cigarette companies pushed their products in movies to make smoking look cool to the public. As well as advertisered the health benefits of smoking for decades, and not how addictive they were until the true studies that they had been concealing for decades revealed how dangerous and addictive and carcinogenic cigarettes actually were. These poor people were victims of a drug harder to kick than heroin that was pushed on them by the industry they worked for by the tobacco industry. And stop making it seem like they're just some weakling who chose smoking over their own lives. As if it was some simple walk in the park to accomplish.
Please never say that giving up smoking is harder than giving up heroin. Its just ridiculous and wrong. I was from that generation that was told that, and i can personally attest to the fact that its bullshit. Opiates are from the devil. Giving them up once you are addicted is almost impossible. The cure rate is very low. Only about 5% of addicts fully recover to live a decent life. It is a decent into hell. The withdrawals from opiates are like nothing else. Not cocaine, not meth, or speed. These things are 'easy' to stop compared with opiate withdrawal. It can kill you. Plenty of people die in prison and hospitals daily from withdrawal. Medically, the staff hate dealing with these patients cos they are literally going out of their minds. The staff struggle to treat because they want the patient to suffer. They think its part of recovery. The more you suffer the more you want it. Nobody wants to spend their precious time looking after some drug addict, nurses and drs have much more important things to attend to. Anyway, giving up smoking is like a walk in the park and giving up heroin is like dancing with the devil himself. Nicotine, or lack thereof, well, millions have stopped smoking with no assistance whatsoever, just pure will power. Will power does not work for opiate withdrawal, its just not like that. So, i hope you get why you should never perpetuate such a myth, you never know, a young person hears that, and they think its true, then tradegy, the next 20yrs is done for, if not their life. With all the pictures of Ella Fitzgerald incorrectly placed whenever F. Scott Fitzgerald's name was mentioned, I laughed out loud beginning at minute 27 due to the over use of her image. Whether she attended any of these parties herself, it's an injustice to use her image when referring to F. Scott and is irresponsible reporting. I still had to laugh nonetheless at how ridiculous this was.

I couldn't stand watching this. I could tell a heck of a lot better stories about the 1937 MGM sales convention. There are incredible stories about Errol Flynn and no mention of the Bundy drive Boys. They had wild drunken parties too. The Garden of Allah has tons of stories - everyone stayed there. I can't imagine listening to over an hour of this Disneyfied version of some really wild times.
