  • Hey guys!! Today I wanted to share my journey with surrogacy…. even though it was not at all what I expected/ hoped for. I truly believe that events in our past help shape us into the people we are today, so this is my story…. Thank you so much for watching!

    My heart aches for you having had that experience. I just finished my first surrogacy journey two months ago as a single mom and I PTL that it turned out better than expected. I wish I could give you a warm hug. Thank you for being you.

    You are such a beautiful soul and amazing person. That breaks my heart to hear what happened with your intended parents. You have a heart of gold. My fiancé and I have had 3 failed transfers with tested/normal embryos and our doctor suggested surrogacy. We are just starting the journey as IP’s and it blows me away there are amazing people like you that would make this possible for people like me and Keith. I’ve been thinking a lot about my relationship with my gc and how I can support her and be whatever she needs because of what she would be doing for us. Surrogacy is such a complex thing but so beautiful too, and what you did to bring that little boy into the world is nothing short of amazing. ❤

Thank you for being so caring towards your gc and seeing from her perspective too ♥️ it is indeed so complex but so beautiful ♥️ I hope your journey went amazingly, or is currently going amazingly ♥️♥️♥️

    Thank you so much for posting your story Sarah.❤ I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get the experience you dreamed of, but no question, you did a remarkably beautiful thing. I suspect you are greatly loved for your kindness and generosity by all that know you, and that little boy you brought to life, on a cellular level. 🙌

    Thank you so much! Doing my first journey with a Chinese couple who says they want lots of communication. Your video was so comforting! There is a lot of stigma around surrogacy and you should definitely not do it just for the money!!

    My wife has cancer and is unable to carry a pregnancy because of her medications (but she's doing VERY well!). We are planning to do surrogacy, but we have two major concerns:
    1. Cost! Any advice on grants and fundraising? Or even contract negotiation to lower costs or financial risks even slightly?
    2. Telling my parents. My parents and most of my siblings (I'm one of seven) are VERY Catholic. We are terrified of what they will think when we tell them that we're doing this, but that's why we're waiting until the pregnancy is confirmed, so they don't try to talk us out of it. We think that their love for us and the joy of adding a new baby to the family will ultimately supersede their initial feelings, but we're devastated that we are likely not going to have the experience of joyfully announcing to them that we are having our first baby, just like three of my other siblings have had. We're also not sure if it will in fact put a long-term or even permanent strain on our relationship with them. Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

    I believe if you match privately the restrictions can be different. I’m a L&D nurse and have seen some situations where I know an agency wouldn’t have medically cleared the surrogate but the IPs took that chance anyways.

    However the parents acted I believe is more a function of their culture that places so much on image and unfortunatly shame and a host of other things that thankfully we are getting better at dealing with in the USA- their noncommunication I believe is about the culture of where they are from more than anything to do with you- and if there is any kind of influence the surrogate gives to the child, even if it isn't your DNA, fine-that kid is really blessed to have been carried by such a warm, articulate woman. BTW I'm neither an IP nor a surrogate or hoping for either , just a mom who watched your video. Oh and your own kids are lucky too! peace be with you.

    • @saraharoses
      @saraharoses  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Thank you so much ♥️ I try to remind myself of that too… I wish I had known that prior to matching with my IPs, even just to set expectations accordingly… but either way I am grateful for the experience ♥️ Thank you for your positive words 🤗

    • @mandiczarnecki
      @mandiczarnecki Před 10 měsíci +1

      I agree it could be cultural. It could also possibly even be emotional pain on the part of the intended mom, it may be hard for someone who cannot carry a baby to hear about the pregnancy with her baby if it is something she very much wanted to do herself.

    • @saraharoses
      @saraharoses  Před 10 měsíci

      I agree on it could have been her pain of not being able to carry herself…. I completely respect her journey and either way wish the absolute best for them ♥️ it just was not what I thought it was going be. I would still do it all over again though because I know I helped ♥️

    So I'm highly considering this as an option to start a family! Is it likely some surrogates might be open to a double embryo transfer?

    • @saraharoses
      @saraharoses  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yes! This is a question all surrogates are asked when applying to become one and many choose to have multiples to increase chances of a successful transfer :)

    • @zachthamm9595
      @zachthamm9595 Před 2 měsíci

      @@saraharoses Which may increase the chance of twins! Ideally looking in my home state of Michigan would be the best option so I could offer more support and be involved in the pregnancy. Finding someone in your home state is always harder right?

    I am sorry for the ignorance of IPs, you are such a great person with a very big heart ,
    ı wonder why you choosed a couple from China , it is so far away and you choosed someone who does not even speak your language ,
    do you wonder how the baby is or are u ok with it ? I wonder why put yourself and your body and surro baby through this not everyone deserves to be parents .

    • @saraharoses
      @saraharoses  Před 15 dny +1

      Thank you ♥️ I chose a couple from china thinking they spoke English (which is what I was told). However, I was told they were “shy” about speaking english so they wanted a translator. It is their baby so no I do not wonder about him. I put my body through it because I genuinely enjoy pregnancy and it is not up to me to decide who deserves to be a parent or not. I just wanted to help someone become a parent who desperately wanted to be one.
