  • A story of how I overcame an abusive childhood to thrive today. I walk you down a bit of my abusive home life, my schooling, post-grad, and self-love journey. I hope you know you have the choice to will yourself to break that trauma. For my fellow first-generation Asian-Americans out there, and for anyone who has generational trauma, you are seen, you are heard.

I come from the same thing with my “family”. I’ll never forget when I hit my girl cousin ONCE and my “aunt” made me and my cousin fight. I got my ass whopped not gonna lie. I’ll never forget what my “grandpa” said when he came home “that’s what you get for hitting girls”. Now fast forward years later. My “aunt” told her son that he can hit girls and my “cousin” has a girlfriend that he beats and they have NOTHING to say about that. I’m moving out soon and me and my “Grandpa” don’t even talk anymore. He had the audacity to ask me for some money and I blocked his number. I told him that he was gonna need me one day and that I wasn’t gonna be here and now his life is going to shit and I don’t feel bad. They put me and my siblings through some shit.
