TIL you can get a free Charcoal in Azalea town after finding Farfetch'd! Thanks for helping me out everyone!
I was actually going to comment this lol. Good to know you found out!
Oof, only 20 years late
I was gonna say the same thing I was like does he not know to go back to the town and talk to the guys lol.
I've known about it since a kid. I just didn't have much use for it. Most earlier generation fire type is underwhelming and why people don't pay attention to it. Everyone would rather toxic than burn also. Ho Oh is an exception.
Even as kids we realized how underwhelming burns and fire types are compared to other types and abilities around them. That's why Charizard is the worse starter and the lack of coverage.
To explain that weird move choice against Ho-oh, the AI runs a test attack for each move to check if any can KO. Then chooses randomly between any that can. You surviving on 1 life means the actual roll was lower than the test roll.
Edit: Just for fun and completeness, the cpu can also miss a lethal option if the test roll is lower than what the actual roll would have been, though obviously that second roll never happens.
This comment needs more love.
You mean damage ranges. So in theory, lets sat that a move that should in theory deal 100 damage normally, it could range between 90 and 110 damage, depending on the RNG. It is usually around + or - 10%
@@Skarfar90 I mean that a bit more literally. It doesn't check the whole range, at least not in the early generations. I was trying to keep it simple, so that less well versed people could just read it, go 'huh' and move on.
Lugia is without a dou t better than ho oh
@@obiwannadoobie3238 Design-wise, yes. But gameplay-wise, Ho-Oh is definitely faster in a solo run
42:45 I laughed so hard from the TWO attempts of Thunderbolt on Quagsire while casually zooming in
What gets me more is when he didn’t use thunderbolt on Blue’s Gyarados that takes FOUR times damage from electric moves 🤔
@@Cowne8 I wanted to point that out myself, but that it was due to him not being sure it would KO, and then using full restore taking longer time. But then I was like «no way Gyarados would survive that?»
@@Cowne8 I swear gyarados would die from walking on a carpet and touching someone
@@Cowne8 Heh, yeah, both of those things made me laugh. The 2 Thunderbolts against Quag clearly on autopilot, and god only knows what thought process made him think Gyarados would survive that Thunderbolt!
Dragon Trainers Lance and Claire have so many dragonair to illustrate how difficult dragon type Pokemon are to train. It also helps lead into a neat bit of continuity. As Lance in generation one has two dragonair and one dragonite on his team, but in gen 2 he has three whole Dragonite on his team, showing that it took him three years to get those dragonair evolved (roughly). It fits with my idea that your character is always some kind of prodigy in the Pokemon world able to really bond with Pokemon and bring out their potential really fast.
Hey Scott, just wanted to say your production value on these videos has gotten insane. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these.
I was thinking the same thing!
More coming soon ;)
Lugia will always be my fav legendary, though as a kid I was secretly disappointed that it didn't instakill everything. My friends and big brother alsways teased me claiming Ho oh was superior in every way and I was highly defensive about it.
In 1 on 1 it smashed every pokemon though as Ho oh is weak to Surf and Lugia is almost unbreakable. I often killed Ho oh and Mewtwo with just Lugia and I felt validated beyond reasonable doubt
In Heart Gold / Soul Silver Lugia can learn the Thunder move Charge Beam which has a chance to raise the Special Attack and can also let Lugia turn into a sweeper.
It seems you have alot of trauma from this to reason that Lugia is better than ho oh just because it has a type advantage
@@BryanM86lugia is not a water type lugia is psychic and flying type and also ho-oh can learn thunder
Funny enough, Lugia missed some valuable kills using Icy Wind instead of Hidden Power Ice.
If you did HP Ice for Lugia as well it very well may have tied
The reasoning behind making Lugia a Psychic-Type according to the person who made her is that Psychic-Types were powerful at the time and legendaries are also powerful, so it would only make sense for a legendary to be a Psychic-Type.
That would have worked fine except for the fact that Lugia was clearly designed to be a Water type and we already got a Psychic type Legendary in Mewtwo.
@@youtubeneedstochange4414 Meanwhile, every Generation past Gen 2 has a Psychic type Legendary/Mythical. Cough cough.
So I'm not sure if it is slower than just selling stuff to buy the charcoal, but you do get one for free by just popping back to the woodcutters house after getting his farfetch back to him. Then you would have the money for other things if you needed them, might be more relevant for weaker fire pokemon that need more items? Idk. Just thought I'd mention it
Dennis!
You know if you want more easy playthroughs to get out of the way, Tyranitar vs Dragonite would be one. At least these seem pretty easy on paper. T-Tar could struggle against Chuck and Jasmine.
I've played through Gen 2 with Tyranitar before. The only potential issue I had with Chuck would be his Poliwrath landing Dynamic Punch. But Tyranitar was able to 2HKO it as well. Jasmine was no issue because Tyranitar can learn Fire Punch (accessed at Goldenrod), which easily destroys the Magnemites and 2HKO's Steelix. Bruno on the other hand was a problem, though granted I didn't use Hidden Power during my run either. (Flying would be best since all his Fighting Types have lower Defense)
I actually thought Bugsy would be an issue as well, but setting up Sandstorm on either cocoon allows you to effectively 2HKO his Scyther.
This is a great suggestion
Tyranitar vs dragonite vs salamence vs garchomp.
Tyranitar would not struggle against Jasmine as Tyranitar can actually learn Surf etc. and of course Earthquake. Tyranitar would have problems with Chuck at lower levels however and Claire.
Tyranitar can learn all three elemental punches.
I have a softspot for Lugia because it was the first ever legendary I caught in a Great Ball (usually anything below Ultra just didn't work for kid me). I also totally thought it was a water type because of the movie. My brother also always had 2 Ho-Hos (yup, we also called it that) on his team, so our battles were essentially fire vs water - his 2 Typhlosion and 2 Ho-Ho against my Lugia, Suicune, Feraligatr and Articuno.
Gen2 was a fun time.
Also Dennis.
I love that you play both to checkpoints. It feels like chapters of the game. The editing the pause the screen on key moments is great too. Well done.
Never played Crystal but i remember in G/S you get the charcoal for free from the woodcutter assistant if u go back to town after the farfetch'd catch minigame :) might help for future runs
Huge money-saver, but a small time loss
I gotta believe that's the only reason Scott won't backtrack for it unless all money is needed for items, like potions in an Abra run or something
@@Encephalophage true, i love how different runs have different priorities in games, when SpeedRunning time is essential while in a 100% exploration or Nuzlocke using all available resources is far more important 🏝️
Yeah, but he's going back to town to buy the charcoal anyway so just save the cash and get it from the assistant in the house south of the mart no reason to buy what you can get for free.
@@crfilip I mean, it's a speed run. Saving money isn't the priority.
@@Encephalophage the time loss is negligible. You can literally go and get immediately after he gives you Cut. It takes less than a minute even at normal game speed. It actually took him longer to sell his TMs and switch menus to buy it than going back to the Woodcutter's house would have.
always learn something new here. This time I learned that Claire has a Kingler on her team. 52:57. Maybe the giant pincer on its arm makes it an honorary dragon type.
It's like, a dragon scaled crab maybe? That was always the comparison I made anyway. Seemed like good headcannon.
I was like wth is he talking about? Until I heard it 😂😂😂😂
I think it is amazing that it takes the entire johto region to level these guys to the level you usually catch them on
Man I appreciate the amount of effort that goes into these versus videos. And it’s always nice to see Dennis again
I loved your use of safeguard to avoid being cheesed by sleep hacks. Not only is it a good use of a level-up move, but it also increase consistency.
I loved using it! It’s fun because I’ve skipped over it so many times in my casual playthroughs
@@ScottsThoughtsPokemon wait there's a pp up in the water south of blackthorn
I have been too focused on Gen 3 n screwing around in goldenrod for my favorite bug catching contest
I really need to brush up on this Gen soon
@@ScottsThoughtsPokemon I try to route in double prz cure berry
I set the clock at 11 at night grab a berry do playthrough n at midnight another przcureberry appears
This makes Clair n Lance really consistent n allows for double berry farming from trees in same playthrough
Also if you struggle with Chuck or get stuck at koga you can apply this to double bitter berry or double psncureberry
I also practice the whirl Islands n dark cave above mahogany movement and yes red when I route to avoid flash time
This allows me to grab 2 additional rare candies n route in 2 escape ropes
The ppup strategy you had was genius and I will implement that for my route improvement since blackthorn is a great xp spot in general
15:11 Scott: ''I pick up a hidden ether because it's really important for my PP problems'' I need to grow up, I can't stop laughing at this. 😂😂Great run as usual. I love both these legenary birds!
Eh, growing up is overrated.
And CZcams just lets him display his PP in the corner!
Gotta love the variety of word choices Scott uses to narrate the playthrough. Something quite jarring and super funny about the phrase “and then the fighting tadpole punches my bird”
It is just incredible how much the quality of your videos has improved, and they were good to begin with! The overlay in particular is brilliant.
Overlay will get better!
Dennis!
I love how you refer to weaknesses as "single" and "double" instead of "weak" and "quad"
Dennison.
Someone left that as a comment suggestion a while ago. Seemed like a good improvement to my language.
I know the Lugia is water type is a good joke, but just six minutes in I realized that means it doesn't have STAB, which is something good to point out. People just tend to think Lugia is cooler (me included). You make a very good case for Ho-oh.
Gen 2 and 3 have the best cover art legendaries by far IMO
Ive always liked Ho-oh better which is saying a lot because Lugia is a top 5 coolest legendary as well
They probably originally planned for Lugia to be water type but then changed it to psychic because they didn't want Lugia to completely roflstomp Ho-oh. Having stab and resisting fire would be just way too ridiculous a disparity in the clash between the two poster pokemon.
Excellent work here! The improvements you've made over time j the presentation of the video and commentary has been amazing. Also so glad to see some of the battles I mentioned to be created!! 🙂
Other battles:
-Legendary Birds (Moltres, Articuno, Moltres)
-Ninetales vs Arcanine (battle of the fire mammals)
-Victorybell vs Vileplume (battle of the plants)
-Dewgong vs Kingler vs Seadra (battle of the frozen islands)
-Venomoth vs Butterfree
-Muk vs Primeape
-Gyrados vs Lapras (battle of the water giants)
-Raichu vs Sandslash (battle of the rats)
-Electrode vs Magneton (electric mediocrity)
You’re doing great work! Lugia was always my favorite since I had silver version growing up. I remember jumping up and down when I finally captured it after what seemed like hours of trying
Any pokemon ever: learns Mud slap
Scott: *Angery Gligar noises*
(Also obligatory Dennis)
I remember as a kid I had my Lugia with:
-Aeroblast
-Hydro Pump (sometimes I change this)
-Physic
-Recover
And my Ho-oH with:
-Sacred Fire
-Earthquake
-Thunder
-Recover
I took both of them to lvl 100 just with those moves fighting the Elite Four and Red
For a kid, these are incredibly smart choices
@Damiano Di Domenico thank you, my young player appreciate the comment 🙏, as an adult F' yeah 👍
My ho-oh had sacred fire, flamethrower, fire blast and fly because more fire is more better :')
Holy shit, you mean ten-year-old you actually knew what coverage is?
@@jordanthejq12 yes, but only because I knew the attacks I needed to win against the Elite 4 and Red
Wow, that tied to ram thing is such a neat idea and really helps to show all aspects to take into consideration.
I was glad to see that Ho-Oh managed to make it. I feel Ho-Oh often gets overshadowed by the other... phoenix, Moltres. But the two seem to play incredibly differently. Perhaps that could be a Vs at some point in the future? Ho-Oh vs. Moltres?
Man I love your videos! They are put together so well.
I’m excited about the direction your videos are heading in. I remember when you had 5k subs, your videos have become so much more polished
I will continue the polishing process. Many new QOL improvements soon.
This was such a fun race! Oh my goodness. Anyway, for 10:14/11:27, you can get Charcoal for free in Azalea after saving the Farfetch'd and getting HM01 which is immediately after beating Bugsy. Spending $9800 on it at that point is definitely not worth it. Scyther's special defense stat isn't too high, so most fire type moves stronger than Ember should 2HKO or OHKO it.
Also Denis
The tiny zoom ins on errors like Thunderbolt on Quagsire are a great comedic addition to the format, please keep using them in future!
Your production values are crazy dude, always appreciate all the work you're putting in
It's wierd how unpopular pokemon Ho-Oh is. I'm in love with this bird since when
Ash saw it in first season.
I think it's less that Ho-oh is unpopular, so much as it's lined up against one of the most popular legendaries, so it gets kind of overshadowed. It doesn't help that for a good long time, it was really pretty bad in competitive. Well, pretty bad as far as it can be compared to other legendaries anyway. Not to mention how totally screwed it gets by certain things, like Stealth Rock.
It makes me happy to see you blowing up like you have but I can't say I'm not envious a little bit. Good job! I need to get on the next challenge video if you ever do one of those again. I missed the last one due to being busy.
"the tiny pp isn't even that bad because once it runs out, I can just struggle" The truth a lot of people won't talk about. Thanks, Scott. It feels good to be seen.
The outtakes were lovely, thanks for that.
I have always wondered this growing up. I’m gonna have to go with Lugia.
Same better type coverage
@@dwe5088 they basically learn the same moves, with exception that lugia learns water moves and blizzard and ho-oh learns fire moves and solar beam, there is no real difference for coverage
Kinda knew the outcome cause of stats. Lugia is the Great Wall, Ho-oh better attacker
@@tupacshakur5868 yeah i didnt look at thrre movies i just kinda guest from memory from playing
Whenever an opposing pokémon has rock slide it's better to try and burn them with sacred fire. This makes it so that even if a rock slide is shot off it's power is cut in half making it a much weaker move and much more easily tanked
I'm so glad to see you grow. I don't remember how many subs you had when I started watching. But holy moly my dude u have blown up.
No other poketuber has felt as natural to watch. Also you planted the most deeply convoluted Easter egg in all of youtubles for my little pokemaster in training.
Nothing but best wishes
Glad you’re enjoying!
Dennis!
The quality has improved so much even from still enjoyable beginnings! Definitely agree with you doing new Pokemon and evolving up rather before you redo previous runs.
Dennis!
I was rooting for lugia, but it was really close! It would be interesting to see you test your hypothesis regarding HP Ice, but I understand you likely have other priorities in your video schedule.
Maybe one day ;)
21:00 Also it drastically helped ho-oh that 0/3 rock moves thrown at him hit. There is an extremely good chance that at least 2 of those would have knocked him out.
It took me until the elite four to remember that lugia being a water type was a joke. I was just like “well yeah obviously it’s a water type”
Great video! Props to Dennis for keeping the algorithm happy! Another suggestion for Crystal Clear Run! Maybe a group Speed run like you did with porygon, With it being as open world as it is, I think it has lots of speed run potential with so many different route options.
Also, for all you make fun of Bruno, I'm amazed that you haven't gone for the Encanto joke for "We don't talk about Bruno." Seems like a easy win. Especially since you seem to love the jokes that are low hanging fruit!
I feel like Lugia has the better type coverage, but Ho-oh might have the better Stats. I'm very curious to see.
Ho-oh overall but yeah Lugia having the better coverage. It was great seeing Dennis again for sure!
And yes, Pikachu is based off a squirrel believe it or not.
Without looking I'd guess Lugia, because Ho-oh can't abuse its monster physical attack as much in this gen.
I'm calling this now: Ho-Oh for the win
Well done, Scott! Look forward to your videos each week!
What a great video, loved this versus
Hidden Power choices are really such an interesting mechanic in these runs. I was thinking HP Flying could be useful for Ho-oh because Gust is so bad as a STAB move and let so many mons survive a hit but yeah, you need something for Lance. Do you think HP Rock would maybe be optimal? Coming off the better offensive stat, the dragons have less Def than SpD, it also hits Aero, Charizard and Gyarados hard...
I think the stat distribution was also why Dragonbreath was such a bad call in the first run, for sure Return would've done more against all the D-nites. This run also made me wonder, Leftovers + Fly might actually be a viable healing strategy and if it's enough, could mean you can let go of Recover for Blue and Red. Possibly. I kinda want to try it now.
Lugia definitely could've made use of HP Psychic in my opinion. Having Rare Candies means you can get through Lance with Icy Wind one way or another and HP Psychic could speed up a lot of fights by giving you another STAB option.
Really good strategies, would be interesting to see if they'd save time
For the last bit..why would you run HP phychic when you can just learn psychic?
@@luciddreamworks TM10 is way earlier in the game than TM29.
Lance is a Flying Type Trainer
While Aerodactyl may not be able to learn Rock Slide in Gen 1 or 2, I'd say it's better that lance is a cheater. It's 15 higher power than Ancient Power with a flinch chance yeah, but if Aerodactyl got that omni boost he may just get really trolly. If your mons are bulky enough to take a couple rock slides I think it's the lesser of 2 evils, although still evil lol. Just my personal opinion
But Lance has always cheated. How could he have dragonites at lower levels? 🤣
There is a theory that he is behind the rocket plot, with the evolution thing, backed by how he immediately knew where the hideout was and how to navigate it with ease xD you know, to save apparency
lance invented teaching aerodactyl rockslide thats why in future gens he can learn
@@BigMuskachini There was no logical reason why it shouldn't have been able to learn Rock Slide in Gens 1 and 2. Maybe the developers thought it would've been too broken. But it would've been really good if it had actual type coverage.
@@ShiningJudgment666 was a joke reality Is gamefreak was braindead from the beginning
I understand why you don’t do the bloopers anymore but i miss this! Lol it’s so great!
I used to say Ho Ho too! 😂
Great run Scott!
9 months late and I just want to say, describing Chikorita as a bad rival starter because "my starting move is aeroblast" just got a really good chuckle out of me.
Why didn't you grab the free charcoal for ho oh after the farfetched catch from the kid back in the city???
I didn’t know you were into music! That’s super cool because I think that’s what I want to go into and I also like pokemon a lot!
Broseph Silver was my gen 2 game too…I know the exact bliss you felt bc I still remember how excited I was learning I’d get to battle the kanto leaders and Red after years of red version…still my favorite game of all time…hope this helps your algorithm…thanks for all the excellent content
No idea how these don’t have more views. Subtle jokes, excellent quality, very enjoyable
Dennis!
this was a great video I'd love to see a three way race between the starters (we all now it's gonna be between typhlosion and feraligator)
Amazing content as usual! I'm a happier man whenever I open yt and see you posted a new video :) btw, I'd love to see you try a dugtrio run in gen 1
edit: another good one would be victreebel vs vileplume
Dennis we love you!!
Also this was a great video Scott! It’s funny seeing how these two perform in their initial generation. I wonder how much it would change in HG/SS with all the updates. Especially move sets
Lugia wouldn't be too much different I'd imagine though it can focus its offenses. Ho-oh having physical Sacred Fire is a thing. Brave Bird is also extremely threatening though recoil could make it undesirable but it's a nuke of a move coming from Ho-oh.
Awesome video loving all your content
30:08 Considering that the Dragon Master gives you a Dratini, he must have a secret stash of them hidden somewhere. Lance and Clair are also his grandchildren, so that's why they have so many.
Dennis!
Love your content! Keep up the amazing work 👍
2 deathless runs :O unreal man! Congrats!! Great viewing as always!!
Very fun to watch, thank you very much :)
Speaking of walking around a room looking for a legendary, back in the day I was absolutely convinced that this one stage-like platform in the area before the Cut tree in Ilex Forest was where you got Celebi. My reasoning was, "Why else would there be a platform this perfectly symmetrical in a forest?" Turns out Gamefreak was just weird.
I thought the GS ball was in that cabin in Ilex Forest :(
These videos are getting better every time. Keep up the good work!
Oh and: Dennis!
Scott I love your videos and it's crazy that I've seen them all too
This video is awesome man, I really appreciate seeing a genuine and fair play through either the version mascots. Looking forward to more of your content overall. Also no fire blast in ho-oh?
Fire blast is just too inaccurate for my liking. I’d rather take the damage cut and hit everytime rather than gamble every turn.
That Linus joke had me dying 🤣 also great video Scott Denis is a real all star 🌟
06:20 So nice to hear another guy saying that struggling is ok, when the pp is tiny. Thanks man, I needed that!
Always great videos Scott!! I was super hoping to see these two compete! Also love the music anecdotes during the credits! Love to hear more!!
Also, Pikachu was named for the Japanese onomatopoeia of a mouse chewing wasn't it? Pika pika?
Hey Scott love the videos. Genuinely enjoy watching them. I’m sure other people have said it, but you can get the charcoal for free talking to the cut kid in their house after getting the HM.
Also again cannot say how much I enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the support and encouragement Dylan! (And the charcoal tips!)
I recently watched a speedrun of pkmn Crystal and saw the player set the ingame time to *nighttime* so he could catch a poliwag early on as the 'mule' for the water HM moves.
I didn't check if someone made this suggestion already, but it could be convenient for future playthroughs because catching one can usually be done easly "on the side" between Cherrygrove and Violet City.
That said, this was another great VS run; I enjoyed watching it a lot! =)
Yeah, I do attempt this sometimes, however, it's a bit better in GS than C imo.
Safeguard on Chuck is actually a next level play because it covers 2/3 options. You don't get the guaranteed confuse on Dynamic Punch, plus no sleep. Very nice strategy!
Yet another damn great video my dear sir ✅💯🙌! Can’t wait for more crystal dex clearing , couple great Pokémon in those !
More crystal soon
Hi Scott, not commented in a month or so (the old ADHD playing it's tricks)
Long time commenter and viewer, just want to say I enjoy watching the growth of your channel as much as the content you produce. It's a beautiful display of collegiality, one that is only rivalled by the fairy and ground typing of Venemoth.
Anyway, thank you and keep on enjoying yourself!
Hey Scott! Great vs run man. Gotta admit I'm pretty surprised by the results.

Great video! Thanks :)
It's incredible to see how far your videos have come. Keep up the good work Scott, I look forward to every release!
I landed on your channel couple of days ago and I've already watched all of your gen 1 content. The passion and dedication you put in is a wonder for a pokemon fan like me. It actually made me replay the game and try a few "special" fast runs myself, so thanks a lot
I had a community vote regarding hidden power. People voted for it to stay and I don’t want to change up my ruleset again. I switched many things in January and reset my tierlist as a result. So chosen hidden power is here to stay unfortunately.
@@ScottsThoughtsPokemon Didn't know it was a community vote, but I understand. Thanks for taking the time to answer and good luck with the next runs :)

Welcome
Hey, Scott, love your Videos!!!It is amazing how fast you and your Videos become better everytime. Bye the way, you did not Aeroblast the Venusaur, your did use Psychic ;) Greetings from Germany
Amazing, you've been teased for not knowing Venomoth's type so much that you've decided to embrace it.
What a Legend
I know I’ve shared a couple times before. Today my daughter is thirteen weeks old. She smiles more, and plays a lot now. When I discovered your channel she was a newborn who couldn’t even open her eyes or stay awake, let alone coo or smile. It’s amazing how fast they change. Anyway, we’re settling down for another middle-of-night feeding and I’m excited for this one - Ho-Oh vs my favorite Pokémon! Two guesses who I’m rooting for 😉
Glad I’ve got you through some late nights with your daughter!
Fun fact, both Lugia and Venomoth have the same type combination, Water/Flying
"The cow is faster than the Legendary Phoenix. " o.k. I needed to hear that a few more times.
Lol.
Interesting comparison. I did a similar thing for Gold / Silver comparing Lugia and Ho-Oh against eachother in a Jrose11 style run. I did only do the Elite 4 as the final part, in spirit of Gen.1, and I got the following times:
Lugia - 4:59 - Level 52
Ho-Oh - 4:22 - Level 51
As a bonus run, I also did Chikorita, to get started on the starter trio and got the following time:
Chikorita - 7:40 - Level 70
It was a real struggle getting past Rival 2 and Bugsy, due to a few glaring weaknesses. First off, Bugsy has Schyter with Fury Cutter, which is 2x effective against a grass type. This fight took so long to get past, but the trick is using Mud-Slap to lower the Schyter's accuracy to a minimum, and thus you can beat Bugsy at a low-ish level. But then the rival has a Zubat. and the problem here is that you can't do enough damage with either Tackle or Razor Leaf to deal more damage than Leech Life heals it back. Plus, the other useful move (Mud-Slap) you get from Falkner is ineffective against Zubat due to it being a flying type, and Poisonpowder is also not working against it. You basically have to get to level 29, so that you get access to Body Slam. This will help you in getting past both the Zubat and the Quilava, and by that point, the rest of the run is very easy to get through. However, Chikorita does have a few shortcomings to its fully evolved counterpart. One being that it cannot learn Earthquake, therefore making the Elite 4 a lot more difficult, most notably Karen
Thank you for your great content
You’re welcome
Shout out to my man Dennis! Puttin in work every time, no hesitation.
Lugia should learn the moves Brine, Water Pulse, Aqua Jet, Whirlpool and Steel Wing on its' own level. Ho Oh should learn the moves Wing Attack, Firespin and Flare Blitz on its' own level. They should make Lugia part water type instead of psychic.
Dennis!
Great video mate
All of the PP puns and the “Lugia is a water type” jokes never get old lol
Heya! Just a little heads up for the next Fire-Type Johto playthrough: After the Farfetch'd thing in Ilex Forest, you can talk to the Cut Master and he'll give you a free Charcoal! That'll save you a ton of cash for that early on.
When i was a kid, I couldn't see the beak on Ho-Oh in the box art so I thought it's face was the little sphere where its eye is kind of like that YuGiOh card Relinquished lol
