You’re so right, unless the video is a specific music video, I really dislike background music, especially when it’s too loud. It tends to be too distracting and sometimes gets so extreme that I never watch videos to the end and later avoid the creator automatically.
I loved this video and the combo’s and the explanations you gave for the other colors, also about sticking to not to many more combo’s making the pic too busy. But I do also love video’s with beautiful soft music that is played when watching a wonderful artist color.
I love your color along videos. I put you on every day and color for hours. I got all the Joanna Basford books so I follow along using the same colors. You have helped me so much. I feel like I’m getting a art lesson. Thank you
I really enjoyed this videos, as sometimes I get stuck in using just different greens for leaves unless I’m doing autumn colors. Please do more videos talking to us, it really helps me when I’m following a tutorial or a color along!! I hope that ornery bull behaves himself! Be safe!

Have you ever done a full page in Secret. Garden or Magical Jungle using Crayola pencils? I would love to see a video like that. I've seen completed pages using Crayola, but never any sort of step-by-step tutorial with Crayola. You do such an amazing job with transitioning using a lot of different shades of the same color and you explain and demonstrate how to blend without the harsh lines so well. I've struggled a lot with blending and I've watched tone of artists and colonists demonstrate, but you're the first person I've found to both explain and demonstrate it in a way I could actually understand, and I am extremely grateful for that. Watching your videos has been very motivational for me. I'm very excited now to really start to experiment with color mixing. Thank you! ❤

I cannot begin to tell you how much you helped me with your comments, talking through so many options, and thoughts on color combinations. First time through your tutorial, I copied the page from Magical Jungle so I could make notes on how each leaf and color combo came together. I wanted to be sure I could get as close as possible to the results that you demonstrated to achieve my own colored page with which I would be happy. Then I watched again and colored the same leaves in the Magical Jungle Book, but also colored several other leaves on the pages based on your thoughts. It's such good advice to use variations of the colors you presented without adding new colors. Now I am approximately half way through coloring the pages. Even though it is not complete, I can already see that the pages are cohesive, look dimensional and I really love how they look. I know I will be pleased when the pages are finished. You are such a good instructor! Thank you!
Oh this is wonderful to hear Judy! Sometimes less is more on a page and we can get wonderful effects by using the same colours and just switching up colour placement or techniques. Even a page full of just one combo and then using different colours on a focal point can really make a page pop. So happy you found this helpful and I look forward to doing more series like this 😁

Loved the introduction with the little bull story. My grandparents used to run a farm, and allowed all the cows out, but the bull had to stay in the stable. I always felt sorry for it. Lovely colouring by the way!

Thank you Annette and great question. I do struggle on how to answer that as I tend to just look at a page and can see it coloured in my head. One of these days I’ll get around to doing a video on this subject I just have to work out how to put into words what happens in my head lol
There is also a pale blue color in the Prismas that is just awful.. I can't recall the name at the moment but I'm constantly tempted to just boot it out of my case if it wouldn't mean my having to reorder the entire thing. It's hard as a rock and scratchy... I have no idea what happened with it.
This is completely off topic but I was coloring along on another page while watching.. doing a set of houses in bottles in World of Wonder, one each in different pencil brands... and my word I HATE the Black Widows. LOL. Seriously though when I think of how much I spent on them I just want to cry. Dummy that I am I bought all of them since everyone raved so highly about them online. I have no idea what to do with the darn things but I'm not coloring with them again. This is the fourth time on different papers and it was miserable every time... I'm just done with them.

Aww we have two bulls. One old and one young. The elder behaves and comes over for cuddles but the young one is fiesty 😂 thank you 😁

Haha he is a rare breed indeed, but he’s used to me. He had an injury last winter and I had to hand feed him and nurse him back to health.

I know you use a lot of Prisma colors I know they are waxy but that’s why they blend so well . I also have Faber Castell color pencil’s.

There is also a pale blue color in the Prismas that is just awful.. I can't recall the name at the moment but I'm constantly tempted to just boot it out of my case if it wouldn't mean my having to reorder the entire thing. It's hard as a rock and scratchy... I have no idea what happened with it.

This is completely off topic but I was coloring along on another page while watching.. doing a set of houses in bottles in World of Wonder, one each in different pencil brands... and my word I HATE the Black Widows. LOL. Seriously though when I think of how much I spent on them I just want to cry. Dummy that I am I bought all of them since everyone raved so highly about them online. I have no idea what to do with the darn things but I'm not coloring with them again. This is the fourth time on different papers and it was miserable every time... I'm just done with them.
I don’t mind them, but when I bought them I had really high expectations. I was expecting a budget version of prismas lol
