  • Comparing the DSH SYSTEMS against the CIMBRIA Moduflex chutes. Customer has 3 Moduflex chutes initially and wasn't satisfied with the results, maintenance cost is high as there were regular repair needed as there is electric motor and moving parts. The Moduflex also requires a dust collector unit which is another added cost.
Customer installed 1 DSH SYSTEMS to try it out against the Moduflex. They were extremely happy with the results and decided to remove all the Moduflex chutes and replaced them with DSH SYSTEMS.

With the only purpose of giving readers a faithful presentation of the situation, we would like to provide a technical comment to the video, as far as the usage of our product is concerned.
In this way we would like to avoid any misleading and tendentious interpretation about the proper usage of our Moduflex loading chutes.

    • The material loading starts before the Moduflex outlet has reached the bottom of the truck. The proper use foresees to start the loading operations only once the chute is resting at the bottom of the truck, to avoid dust.
    • During loading the outlet doesn’t seem to have contact with the product pile. It is strongly recommended to have a direct contact between the outlet and the product pile during loading, to avoid dust.
    • The chute will automatically raise as the loading progresses, hence point 2. Here the chute appears in the same position, that means that the chute is not used properly, the product is let “free” to fall, thus generating.
    • We assume that the integrated filter is not working properly in this machine, because normally during loading you should see “pulsing” from the top chute filter cleaning.
    • In case of improper filter maintenance, the filter bags could be fully blocked with dust
    • Since we don’t know if the capacity of the competitor’s hopper is the same of Modulflex being used, we cannot be sure about the validity of this comparison.
    • The outlet skirt seems very worn out. A new skirt, combined with the correct use of chute and filters would return a totally different situation.
