  • Richard Royer is the 6th generation to grow grapes in the Balnot sur Laignes, famous in Champagne for its hillsides and the Pinot Noir grown here. Our limestone and clay soils over a subsoil lined with fossils force the vine roots to dig deep and results in wine with substantive minerality, structure, energy, and elegance. Certified Organic, and ‘sustainable’ by Terra Vitis.
The Réserve is is medium straw colored, complex and elegant yet retains energy and vibrancy. Red and yellow fruit and white flowers are noticeable. The palate contains flavors of red fruit, baked apples while the subtle energy and chalky minerality drives a wonderfully elegant finish. The mousse is delicate and provides a luxurious mouthfeel.
Excellent with many food choices or as an aperitif. Special pairs include lighter meats like quail with pine nuts and apricot, or nut crusted fish or pork tenderloin with rosemary. Salty or rich, decadent foods also are excellent choices.
