CONGRATS ON THE NEW BABY!!!
Thank you!
Cole. Congratulations on your Newborn baby 🎊🎉
Awesome build Cole! very excited to watch the restoration...
Awesome project looking forward to following it
Sweet bike! I've got a 73 Kawi 350 street and trail that was the same way...good price, ran, lasted for two and a half trips haha and now has sat for a couple years. Maybe I'll get working on it now that my 2011 kx250f is all done. Can't wait to see the Elsinore with your touches, should be awesome
Had one brand new , great bike back in the day 👌 had a 125 to
Super stoked to see this channel come back! (Psssst, talk Lance into making a moto side of Thrashin! It’s only fitting with yalls background!)
I’m going to try to get him back on a Moto and I’ll get it up in this channel!
I had one of those in ‘73. Greeeat bike. It still has that cool little mud flap on front fender!
I had an early 70's MR50 Elsinore, I wish I still had it. Great little bike. Bought it with my paper route money.
Cole fatherhood is amazing, on to the important stuff the 73 Honda. Wondering if you know Randy Richardson from Michelin tires. (I don't). He's into vintage bikes, he also has a friend who has 100 old moto bikes. Just a thought. ❤🎉
🤙
I've been waiting for this moment!
Very cool bike. My Uncle Tony Wynn (Arkansas finest) got 4th overall at Daytona 1974 then was leading the Astrodome in 2 of 3 motos, first moto threw a chain and then. blew the transmission out of the case in the final for 10th overall. That was the 1974 Yamaha Super series and he got 5th in the series which is amazing for a privateer on a warmed over shop sponsored bike. It had the “Hi po” head kit out of the Honda catalog, some porting and a Banke pipe. Made all the magazines, even a full page color shot and him a legend among privateers of the era. Hope to see iyours ready for battle soon!
You have a great piece of MX history with that 1973 CR250. Mr. Honda was embarrassed prior to that model while trying to compete in MX with the Honda old 4 strokes. His engineers created a Factory WORKS level bike with that model. Understand that MX bikes in that era were fragile as compared to what your familiar with and you should take down your aggressive style a bit. You may want to contact Broc Glover as he is riding a 1974 CR125 that a fan built for him to ride and maybe they could provide some help in your venture. Good Luck! P.S. Try out a Maico 490.
I love seeing where our current bikes got their roots!
Told ya it’d get hot!! Stoked to see u rip it when it’s dialed
Congrats Cole
Awesome bike man! Reminds me of my 1972 XL250. Same color, same style, just four stroke instead. Super cool to see you do a vintage bike 👍
Congratulations on the little one. Can’t wait to see what you do with this bike. 🤙🏽
I’ve fixed a few vintage Honda dirt bikes and eBay is the best place to find original parts. I learned that any electronic ignition I’ve had problems with. Points work well, need frequent adjustment, but they are cheap to replace and free to adjust.
Awesome thanks for the heads up!
congratulations on you guys baby! excited for this 73 build, thanks for sharing
sweet bunch of Honda's you have there, I`M into vintage sleds plenty of guys dig into those old bikes someone should help you ebay has parts sometimes if you dig deep enough have found plenty of vintage sled parts there cool headers and carbs
Congrats on the new Baby and hope all.is well....enjoy.
🤙🇦🇺🤙
Had a 73, used to race vintage here in Aus back in the 90's, had a MUGEN head and barrel and billet crank with and Vintage Iron pipe was a blast ! get in contact with Rick Daughty (vintage Iron) he built heaps, DC plastics and Vintco as others have said. don't sell it like I did, they are worth a fortune now lol 👍
congrats on the baby.......and the elsinore looks awesome.....a friend of mine bought that one and the 125 that year i think and i was only 13 and he let me try it, i only took it down the road......it was so big and fast for me......first time i ever rode a real mx bike.....better than my sears and roebuck minibike
My dad restored an Elsinore and races it in the vintage class every once in a while. I’ll have to ask him where he sourced his parts. Since we are in the same area as you
Congratulations on the new baby!
Thank you!!
Cool vintage bike. Let's see it finished and ride it all out.
That’s the plan! I want to race it when it’s done. But I’m going to take my time and do it right
@@ColeSeely Cool man. I'd love to watch you do the build and then race the bike. That would cool content. I once bought a 78 Yamaha Dt 175 to rebuild and do some trail riding. But I never finished it. I hope you finish yours. Maybe it will inspire me to finish my project.
I'm here waiting..
keep it up cole, and congrats!
Thank you!
Love Elsinore’s..
Make it look like a Gary Jones bike.
send the tank to Joe Abbate
Cole congratulations on the baby to you and your wife. Tell us info on the baby please.
I re did a 75 Elsinore...Re-mx has some stuff
Sweet I’ll look them up!
A good place to find parts for these old bikes is CMSNL
They always stock a bunch of OEM stuff
They are sure to have some stuff you need
Awesome thanks for the heads up!
Big G'day Cole from Down Under 🇦🇺
🎉🎉🎉🍼🐣🍼🎉🎉🎉
Your Dyna sitting at Team Thrashin' looking different & lighter 😂🤣 going to be mean when you go blonde ❗💪💪💪
Keep your 🌮🌮🌮 & hot sauce levels up, so it don't burn 🔥that ring of fire🤣😂🤣
May all your days be Harley days
Safe travels 🙏 ♥️ 💛 🐾 🐾 🇦🇺
If you need a bike from the 80's, I'm putting in a vote for a cr500
Once I get everything dialed in this bike is like to find one for sure!
might I recommend installing a 75/76 CR250 complete transmission and kick starter, way better parts
VMX in New Mexico, there are many trick parts available from suppliers in England, billet transmissions, cranks, swingarms etc
Joe Abbate is the guy you to restore that tank, engine work Ted Boyko. Plastics I have no idea but I have seen nice reproductions. I've had joe and Ted do work for me
Okay cool I’ll look into it! I found someone to do the engine work I definitely want to fix the tank though
Contact Kaplan Cycles and Museum. He’s got tons of vintage bikes and I’m sure could help you source parts.
Would like to see you race the 73 Elsinore at Unadilla rewind next year! Youd have some competition, there are guys ripping old Elsinore's there.
Hay u have an awesome and very sought after bike, stock looking will get you the most bang for your buck, that’s what all the collectors want .As to the motor, bring it to the guy that’s doing your other motor? And I know this is a dumb thing to say but thank god for the internet RIGHT. ps- I definitely enjoy the videos, thanks.
Yeah I’ll keep it mostly stick styling other than the frame. Steve has his hands full but I have someone in mind for the motor work. Thank you for watching!
VMX Plastics has a full kit for this bike !
Sweet thank you!
If don't kick ya off the front it kick ya off the back lol
The alloy tank is sweet when it is restored but there are plastic replica tanks that I would if you actually ride it. Mike Palmgren an vintage motorsports is the guru for restorations. He knows the parts and services.
Okay cool thanks for the info!
If you need any advice ide reach out to Ken Kaplan
Dude! This the same Elsinore u did the photo or video shoot with years ago?
Yep!
My pops has an old Elsinore I think you’d be interested in for the channel?
Love the content. However, to my liking WAY too much talking. Just dive in and git r dun!
I shot you a DM on Instagram a day or so ago about Elsinore parts. My dad and I may have parts for you laying around ! We are down in Temecula.
Okay cool I’ll look for your message! Thank you
DC plastics.
Vintco (Engine and Suspension)
They have a sweet remake of the classic Fox Air Shock from the 70’s.
Awesome thanks for the heads up!
Hey cole i sent you a few pics on Instagram. Like one of the guys said ebay is the best place to find parts for these bikes.
