The porsche is back and ready for some mods!! in today's video, we install a brand new billet short shifter, porsche OEM steering wheel, AND Ruff pedals. Everything made the car come out SO nice and just makes the driving experience that much better.

While you were down there did you by chance change the shifter ball bushing and shift rod bushing in the middle of the tunnel? They are known to be destroyed by this age and help a bunch when replaced! Also the coupler at the back end of the tunnel under the rear tunnel panel usually has a decent amount of slop in it at this age as well. Super easy and great quality of life changes while youre down there!

I was unsure about the steering wheel until you I saw it installed. all the mods just made the interior look sooo much newer and fresher! Great job!
Regardless of what car you have, it’s a the feeling you have when you drive it. My manual S197 V6 Mustang is fun to throw around. As long as it puts a smile on your face, it’s fun.
I like your build. I am building an 81 SC with a later 3.2 engine. Using the same shifter. Cant wait to get my engine back together and in so I can experience the drive!
If you don’t know who Ruf is do a deep dive, I suggest starting with videos of the Ruf Yellowbird doing these crazy power oversteers on the Nürnberg Ring in the 80s

hey @dustinwilliams, I might be as picky as you as I recently did all three of the same mods in the interior of my E36 M3 so I'd also highly recommend changing up that aftermarket radio for the Continental TR7412 for an even stronger OEM+ look. Mine basically completed my whole interior up plus it has that that yellow vintage lightning to match the rest of the dash lights which is so perfect.
Check out Wevo's Precision Shift Joint (PSJ) kit. Installs between your shirt shifter and transmission in the tunnel. Takes it to bolt-action-rifle-precise shiting!

Love the embroidery on the steering wheel - the way it is orientated. Those Rough pedals are sic. NOOICE! Those mods you did really make it a Porsche. *You should maybe put a hood scoop on it to complete the look.
