  • Kohler Fill Tube Pops Out When Flushing - Easy Fix!!
    We have two Kohler toilets in the house and the same issue of the fill tube popping out happens on both of them. The refill tube or refill hose is critical to your toilet working properly as it has the responsibility of filling the toilet bowl to the appropriate level after each flush. Without the tube in its proper position, there will not be enough water in the bowl for the next use.

    I used some Nashua Stretch n Seal tape as a wrap to seal and reinforce this joint. It is easy to use and available at Home Depot, Lowe's and such. Perfect, easy fix using just a 4" or 5" piece. Should last the life of the flush valve or fill tube itself, whichever comes first. Highly recommended!

    Very helpful ! Tried the method and for me it didn’t work only bc the zip ties actually stopped the valve from opening as much as it should to successfully flush the toilet. I think because the black hollow tube is much more narrow on my toilet than yours. Otherwise this would’ve been the perfect solution, thank you !

      Sorry you weren't able to get it to work. Maybe a tape of sorts would fit better in your situation. Thanks for watching, JL.

    You can also wrap the tube using electric tape and make it snug so that it won’t pop out. The other method is to order new tube from kohler only $1.60 each. I’ve tried both and both worked great.

      Thanks for the tips. Taping had crossed my mind but I wasn't sure if it would do the trick...good to know. Does a new tube stay in?? Thanks for watching, JL.

      @@lendermanshop Yes, I just replaced the tube for my 10 year old toilet. And it stays in very well. I guess when the tube gets old, it will shrink a little bit which makes it easier to pop out. Before I replaced it, I wrapped it with tape to keep it in.

    Why not use wire instead so you don’t have to deal with the ties getting brittle and breaking?

    • @lendermanshop
      @lendermanshop  Před 2 měsíci

      Great suggestion, perhaps I will give that a try the next time I need to refresh the ties. My only thought regarding the wiring is using a gauge that is workable in this confine and that I will be able to twist tight enough to hold. Thanks for watching, JL.

    I’ll have to try this! Our tube keeps popping out leaving very little water in the toilet.

    How about a wide zip tie used were both meet? And wrap some Teflon tape around the fill tube too get the tude wider. Just an idea.

      Hmm! I haven't had that happen. Maybe try a configuration with zip ties or use a twist fastener on the tube and wrap around the stalk of the fill valve. Sorry I don't have more for you other than trial and error! Thanks for watching, JL.
