Lost the game at the 21 second mark. Instead of taking an uncontested dunk he should have pulled off which would have taken at least another 4 or 5 seconds off the clock before NAU could have fouled him.

Big Sky should really do a multiple bye system like the WCC (top two seeds don't have to play until semis) - when ALL Big Sky teams are Depending on Big Sky Tournament win for auto bid, the regular season Has to count for Something! This type of outcome should only be possible in a semifinal or final, if a mid team Advances. I'm not an Eastern fan, but this is a Harsh result after a season of hard work

As cool as moments like this are, I still have the opinion that the conference tournament shouldn't be the automatic qualifier, winning your regular season conference championship should be the automatic qualifier. Especially, for the mid-majors. One bad game or one shot ends your season, even though you've had the better season.
Technically speaking a team could lose every single game, somehow win the conference tournament and they're in the NCAA tournament?! Really? I know that probably won't happen ever, but it shouldn't even be a possibility.

As cool as upsets are from a European perspective this is why American playoff systems can suck. You can dominate your league, sit firmly at the top over 30+ games then slip up once and someone else is ‘champion’.

@@pschighlights Exactly it’s a shame really. It’s great to see underdogs in the postseason but the whole thing is designed as way too much of a ‘lottery’ which can screw over solid teams who just had a bad night.
@@dogg-paws so many different factors can affect one game though. Statistically get a far more accurate image of who is the best team over 40 games than you do a small bracket tournament. Playoff systems are largely popular in the US for the ‘drama’ aspect, while European leagues stick with the team at the top of the table as the champ.
