This world cup was unpredictable, surprising and was fun to watch. I remember I watch the match between Denmark vs Japan in the stadium in south Africa with my parents. Axon Jaxon A win, a loss and a draw aren't the same results as a win, a loss and a draw? Even if we'd got a respectable 0-2 against Germany we still wouldn't have gone through. And don't forget Germany also hammered England and Argentina 4-1 and 4-0... We outplayed Ghana until the unlucky red card, then beat Serbia, one of the strongest teams in Europe at the time, knocking them out of the tournament. We have a lot of be proud of from 2010.
Clearly you aren't a fan of literature. 2006 has been the best world cup to date, 2010 was a reality check.

If Cahill didn't get a red card against Germany I reckon we would have won against Ghana with him in the team
True, but what I was really mad about is how we let Germany pump us 4-0 and then Germany only beats Gana 1-0. This is why we finished 3rd and Ghana 2nd, because of that goal difference.
@@hjamesr2353 I swear when we go to WCs everyone else conspires against us. We get put into hard groupings, playing against impossible odds. Never get a fair chance, dodgy refereeing etc etc.
Almost like the rest of the world & FIFA don't want us there because they hate our never say die spirit 💪🏻🤷🏻♂️
@@ALLRNDCRICKETER They're all hard groups, mate. It aint easy, at world cups. We punch well above our weight, to be honest. Australia has so many diff sports that are more popular, within our own country. Most of these other countries have soccer (football) as their number one sport. I don't think there's a vendetta against us, however I will concede that higher/world class profile players will get preferential treatment, when it comes to a 50/50 contest.
@@ALLRNDCRICKETER that’s the World Cup unfortunately. You have to be best no matter how easy/ hard the group is. 2022 was much better than any other Socceroos World Cup Ive Seen. But I guess as Aussies we could learn a thing or two from Japan or Korea. They always seem to be in difficult groups, and end up killing it. They know how to beat big teams like both japan and Korea both beating Germany or japan beating Spain and almost Croatia in 2022

He scored many goals for Ajax, Red Star and Herta.
Serbia won against Germany, and lost against Ghana, only one goal scored after penalty, and than against Australia missed colosal chances, and not been given clear penalty from the reefree. Vidić header and Cahill plays with hand. Reefree is blind, no VAR at the time.
With 2:2 Serbia would pass that group, but Germany probably not.
8 years later Serbia against Swiss is damaged by the reefree again, and not been given clear penalty.
The only problem I have is that these highlights only show the goals, and then MAYBE 1 extra highlight.
Only Serbs are able to beat Germans at World Cup and just after that lost to unmotivated mediocre Australian team

Dear Pim Verbeek, if you had tried using our normal tactics in the game against Germany we would have gotten through the group. I have no doubt we were the 2nd best team in that group.

we panned Pim's team at the time but they were streets ahead in football quality than the current crop who cant string 3 passes together but somehow managed to get to the next round with a low block. (kudos to Arnold for that achievement)
