I’ve noticed that cops tend to ignore Croc on comms when he’s talking and then complain how he’s doing shit without telling anyone. He’s constantly on comms, getting ignored. I think a lot of main cop players are salty at main crim players. There was a lot of OOC comments Dan was alluding to which is bullshit.

Croc comes by his anger honestly. I still remember when Croc was left alone with two 95's and when trying to question them accidentally fell off the bridge. This would've been hilarious if he wasn't by himself, wasn't robbed while broken and near dead on the floor, and didn't have yo wait for 20+ minutes while ems struggled to find him and those two people were stuck on a busy bridge unable to move. You have to think everytime croc is given shit by someone foe having an attitude he still feels cold asphalt on his face while some random grinder rifles through his pockets and takes his shoes.
Very true, when other criminal cops are on, like Ramee, he has high praise for Croc. But when it's the main cops, they complain, hmmm I wonder why.
yeah there is always that feeling when a cop main and a crim main, i think that's why when tony goes 10-41 he mostly don't respond to players/cops that he knows doesn't care to let some stuff go and just have fun so he always does things by himself or literally rp with crims as a cop and turns off his radio

The whole, "you were promoted too hastily, there were other officers that earned/deserved it before you." is really how people in these fields think.
I was a security guard for 5 months, got promoted to supervisor, and three others were turned down after a year or two in, and everyone hated me after. Many people held it against me, and those guys that got turned down went from being my friends to not speaking to me at all.
I’m speaking about these two solely in character. I think Whippy and Aaron are fantastic RP’ers and I appreciate the both of them.
I’m glad Croc is standing up for himself to Dan. Dan doesn’t know half of Croc’s work because he changed solely to shift 3, so I don’t understand why he has the room to say that Croc doesn’t deserve his promotion. Just from this conversation alone, it seems like Dan makes an equal amount of mistakes that Croc does. Yes, it might’ve been a hasty decision to promote him as early as Baas did, but it’s clear that Croc has gotten himself to Sr. status.
I think Dan is just salty because Croc is honest. He’s blunt. He doesn’t take any shit. He doesn’t like to be catty about shit unlike a lot of folks in the PD. Is Croc perfect? Absolutely not. But no one in this PD is. I’m proud of Croc for standing up for himself to Dan.
Baas did say that promotions are not handled by how much of a good cop you are, but how hard you work and the RP you give out, I think croc is the only cop willing to go to Dean's world, and make sure that people don't park in the back, which is illegal (half the time he doesnt give tickets out), or going to 37 calls (suspicious activity) on the south side

Croc is a bit short on the phone and has a hard on for firing in parking violations (which cops do not enforce private parking unless requested by the owner technically)

This is just experienced RPers playing out the old guard vs new guard situation that was bound to happen.

I like seeing Croc! I don’t follow the character too much but when I see him in other people’s streams, it’s always a fun time! He’s a good character.
Croc has been a better cop than Dan let’s be honest. He actually does cop work, even the boring part of it, and holds everyone accountable, even other cops. He also gives everyone from crims to civs RP. He doesn’t NVL by shooting at someone who already has their gun on you.
i heard it stated multiple times that Cops dont need to follow that part of the NVL rule, they are allowed to pull a gun in those situations.... ALSO Dan is probably one of the Cops that doesn't pull guns for RP reasons the most.

This is the second time I’ve seen Dan confronting other officers about their police work. First Claire and instead of going to her he went to the people in command to confront her and now he’s confronting Croc about his promotion like he promoted himself lol. I like Dan but he does be in too many people business to be just a senior officer lmao. I think he should chill a bit and just focus more on himself and try to get that promotion he’s been wanting.
I haven't seen much of Croc but whenever I do, I notice he's a very by-the-book guy and is not quite flexible which depends on the person can be good and bad.
He seems to at least be flexible to crims when there not having a good time (OOC) due to bullshit

His reason is that there are officers who have worked harder and longer then Croc to become Senior but they've been overlooked and passed up while croc has only been an officer for a little bit and sure he does good work or whatever but I feel like it is actually rather soon to just suddenly be promoted just because he's around more often and putting the RP work in.
I don't really care one way or the other but I can understand why Dan would be up.. but I feel like people forget Dan IC has a lot of reasons to be upset. Croc is disrespectful to rank and has challenged Dan's authority tons of times.. and Dan's feelings towards Baas aren't great either because of the Dundee investigation.

Two amazing rpers that bounce off of each other so well. Their characters are somewhat opposites, but I actually believe they have much to learn from one another: Croc is too risky and sloppy but can get amazing results, Dan is safe and considerate but doesn't stand out much.

While I agree with your insight, I thinks this is more a situation of Dan (IC) doesnt believe Croc is ready as he has been on the PD force for not so long. You've probably seen others comment that AaronOnAir (streamer who plays Dan) agrees with Crocs promotion, but from a in-world setting, Dan thinks Croc isnt ready. Its hard not to give Dundee's experience to Croc, but from an RP standpoint, you can't. They are two different people. To me, this conversation is just good RP. Both of them are super experienced RPers, but that also means that they are gonna have situations where they agree entirely OOC but can't IC, so they have to play out these "tense" conversations.

Love how Dan is grandstanding when he's cost the state more money in liabilities than the entire BSCO budget since the start of 3.0, hes single handily the reason you cannot sue cops for more than 50k anymore and the only cop in the entire history of 3.0 to lose qualified immunity. Dan is a decent cop but he's a bit trigger happy and was salty that Shift 2 didn't like doing things his way so he went to shift 3 where they can mag dump AU crims with no impunity. Ironically I think Baas is one of the best High Command. Malton is really bad with a complete hands-off when it comes to cops ie "do nothing, don't interfere with other officers" and he's super petty when dealing with any criminal. Pred's an amazing roleplayer but honestly a terrible leader. Angel's an amazing administrator but a terrible cop. Ziggy & Conan are terrible leaders. Wrangler's horrid since he legit griefs players. Trooper Andrews was one of the best before he vanished from the face of the earth.
I think some of the best cops are like Claire & Mina, Gold, Baas, Tessa, AJ Hunter, Garry Berry. If Conan didn't do so much stupid shit he could be. One of the big things are the crim mains know when to back down and when to chill and deescalate and not to be dicks. Some of the main cops end up super cocky, petty, and utterly uncaring and just want a W. Claire's honestly one of the best if not the best because she knows how to have fun and when it's appropriate to have fun and when she needs to be serious. Though she is a little obsessed with interceptors and chases ever since she got certed ngl lol.
I guess the thing about RP though is you don't need serious good cops in charge necessarily. Someone like Pred is absolutely fine in a roleplay server and it brings a lot to the server.
