- Testing out Texas Pasture Plus liquid fertilizer to see if we can see some visual results for everyone that is interested. Texas Pasture Plus is a foliar product. Using the Agricision OnTrak or other GPS is a must to get the most accuracy out of spraying product.

Nice video. How is the cost of that fertilizer per gallon? Will it cover a lot of ground per acre. I like that sprayer. Not sure I can justify GPS. Sure is nice though.
It’s definitely a pretty expensive upgrade but is well worth it in my opinion! You will save money on herbicides, fertilizers, and seed. You will be surprised at how much you overlap or skip spots without the GPS or foam bubbler system.
Where did you get that GPS system? I can’t seam to find it In the us.

How did the pasture plus foliar fertilizer work? I'm wanting to try it.
Still to be determined. After I applied it we got hit with a flash drought. We’re getting rain this week so hopefully there’s time to get some results from it.
All our tractors that we use in the Haying operation have Deere auto-steer GPS.....

What kind of results did you get with the commercial fertilizer and the organic fertilizer? I also have the onTrak system, been using it for 4 years. Works great.
I’ve been very pleased with the onTrak, I figure I’ve saved enough product to pay for itself. I like both fertilizers. I made some really good hay with it and have also used it to boost grazing pasture. From my experience it won’t produce as much as 100 lbs of Nitrogen but it’s better than nothing, and was probably the healthiest looking grass I’ve had except for when I spread chicken litter.

Thanks, Great video. How do you clean your spray tank between herbicide application and fertilizer application?
Honestly, I should probably look into a good cleaner. I pretty much just try to rinse it out really good and flush everything multiple times with clean water. But I know there’s going to be some residual. But that hasn’t caused any problems with my setup yet.

@@togo3624 Thanks! I'm glad they are helpful! That's my overall goal. I'm still learning how to produce videos that get the point across but not be too long. It's definitely a learning process in itself.
How accurate were the results with your on trak
It seems to be very accurate. I get really close to using the exact amount between acres covered and any residual left in the tank. Before the GPS, it was pretty typical to run out of spray before I finished covering what I wanted. Apparently I had a lot of overlap. That’s not an issue now.
Are you still happy with the On Track GPS system?
Yes I am. It works great for my purposes.
How good is the accuracy of the gps, did you have skips and over laps
The GPS is really accurate. You most certainly can get skips and overlaps if you’re off on your sprayer width. But usually set mine so that I’m overlapping about a foot I’d rather do that and get complete coverage instead of getting skips. With proper sprayer calibration and the GPS I can almost nail the amount of gallons per acre that are applied. I might have a few gallons left in the sprayer when I’m done. I had very different results before I used GPS.

How did the Texas Pasture Plus work out? I’m considering getting some.
I like it. This was a bad test because as soon as I sprayed this time we didn’t get any rain for almost 4 months. But I have used it in the past and the grass was healthy and looked great! I will say this (specifically for hay): I would go this route if your field/meadow is already in pretty good shape. I don’t feel that the grass fills in as quickly as it does with chicken litter or commercial fertilizer. That said, TPP will cost less and is good for at least one hay cutting.
